Excellent Produce. This one I recommend!

This is a very well made unit. Strong, thick canvas. The release clips that allow the bottom half to unfold in order to release the picked fruit are well made. The stitching is sound. I highly recommend this unit. And for picking fruit it's just great. In our case - kiwis on a high vine. Until we bought this picking bag we used to balance ice cream buckets on the orchard ladder. That was a hard way to pick. With this unit over your head it stays with you which ever way your turn. And you can pick much faster since both hands are picking instead of one holding a pail.

Bottom line is this works. It's designed for commercial fruit pickers (apples, pears, etc.) and will hold 80 lbs of fruit. I'm writing this review with that goal in mind. It is easy to pick into and empty. I also should withstand a significant amount of abuse. I would only give one very modest piece of advice, don't expect to load this to full capacity for two reasons; it's probably too heavy for all but the largest pickers and more important; it's going to put you at risk if you have that heavy a load on the top of a ladder.

Pretty bag

It reminds me of the field bags we used to used to use to pick oranges in our orange grove when I was a kid only much prettier. Still works just the same. Not much more you could ask for...

this is very easy to use!

I liked how you can drop the sides and unload the apples. We haven't used it yet because it was given as a Christmas present and of course that isn't apple time in New England.

Solid as they say. Got it for my dad for Christmas. So solid that he didn't think he could put it to good use. Being that we only have a small bundle of fruit trees in the backyard.

OK for the price but I need to modify it ...

OK for the price but I need to modify it, way too long for the average guy, I'm 5 foot 10", think I'm shortening about by 6 inches. When not quite full it ways 50 pound! Guess I didn't read it can fill 80lb,..who can stand on ladder and wear this kind of weight on their neck?
