Excellent hangboard

Really cool, sturdy. Just like all the other reviews sand it down before using. Has def helped me improve bouldering really fast

Good Value. Very slippery.

Solid. The product as received was very oily. Some of the finger pockets have router gouges and unevenness all around. As others have mentioned, I will definitely need to sand down the board and maybe apply a light degreaser inside the holds before it is suitable.

Cheap (discounted at $21) - but Needed Sanding with fine grain sandpapaer

I bought the dark stained model at discount. Light sanding was necessary in all holds (5 - 10 minutes of sanding), now it is perfect. I used the finest grain sandpaper, the type that's attached to a sponge. The sloper holds at the top are very slick with the staining, so that may require more sanding with rougher grain. I saw that it broke on some people, in other reviews, I weigh 145 lbs, and to me it feels very solid.

glossy finish is slippery

i need to sand the finish off with sand paper and then maybe it'll be less slippery. the holds are either rather large or so small that even my nearly pro climber friend can't hold them. would buy a different one next time with a better variety of holds and a rougher surface.

Great quality for the price

I've used a few different hangboards over the years, mostly in the $100-$200 range. This one is just as solid as much more expensive boards and has an excellent diversity of holds. For quality at this price point, this hang board definitely deserves 5/5 stars. However a few caveats below: There could have been slightly more effort spent on sanding and finish -- probably 90% on point and smooth, but a few areas around holds were still protruding or uneven. The two bolt-on/adjustable pinch grip holds are a great idea, but the bolt and insert nut system they use isn't great. They tend to either rotate under your weight (I'm 170) or, if you crank the bolts in tight, start to pull the insert nuts out of the wood. Finally, the dimensions (22" width) are given accurately, but there's one photo in the product description showing the board is as wide as an adult male with arms outstratched in a 'Y' position. In my case (5'10") that would imply a hangboard around 40"-44" wide... so unless that man is an oompa loompa, that photo is a very poor photoshop job.

Needs work

When the item arrived, it was pretty clear that there were three pieces of wood that were routed separately and then all mounted together as a single unit. There were cracks in the seams that needed to be filled and pressed with wood glue. The handholds themselves needed to be sanded out. Nothing that made the item unreasonable to purchase, but don't expect to be able to use it right out of the package.

Yes all board hanger

Good product, but the jugs need a little work I had to sand them down. I also had to drill my own holes because the ones it comes with don’t work for stud spacing in walls the holes aren’t even stacked over one another

Bonne qualité, solide. Good quality, solid.

Bon système pour s'entraîner. Mais manque de prises intermédiaires pour placer les doigts. Malgré tout il permet de maintenir un certain niveau quand on ne peut pas aller s'entraîner en salle. Good system for training. But lack of intermediate holds to place the fingers. Despite everything, it allows you to maintain a certain level when you cannot go to train in climbing center.

Great for bouldering Strenght.

If you want to strengthen your finger muscles, this is a great board. It is a big board, when hooking it up, make sure it is bolted to studs. Above door is an excellent place.

Sharp edges, prepare to smooth em out yourself

It’s a solid hangboard but it’s the edges are sharp. I had to spend a decent bit of time after that sanding down the edges to smooth em out. It’s an overall fine product but they could really round the edges in production instead of getting the customers to do it for them.
