I am happy with the item and the result.

For the price, this item is well-made. It was easy to remove the firmly fastened water heater anode rod using an impact wrench. It comes highly recommended by me.

Description is wrong.

I had a bad tub/shower faucet that needed repair. To replace the washer, I had to remove a part that has a valve stem that is quite long. The size is 15/16" and I have "deep sockets", but mine not deep enough. I estimated that I need a socket at least 4.25" deep. This socket is stated as 5.5" so I thought it would be fine for this job. Wrong. I measured the socket with calipers and it was barely over 3 inches deep. Maybe 3.25. I already have a socket that deep. I need more. The item description is a lie. I considered welding some beads on the end so I could get a pipe wrench to grip it, or welding another socket on top of it to extend it, but I decided to grind off the hard chrome on the end so a pipe wrench could get a grip. It turned out that the grinding was rather easy, and the steel was not really that hard. So I ground some flats on the end and it was pretty easy to put some man power on the socket. Mission accomplished. This socket was not expensive, and I got the job done with it. But I expected a tool steel socket to put up a fight with my grinder, and this did not. So yes on one side and no on the other.

Nice socket

I needed a 7/8" deep socket with a 1/2" drive. Performance tools have worked perfectly for me so it was a no brainer to purchase two sockets. One to keep with my 1/2" cordless impact in the Jeep and one for the tool box. They look great and will serve their purpose.

Very hard to remove packaging

The packaging is incredibly hard to remove and it is quite dangerous. I would not recommend this product.
