Overall it looks better than most gates and the free standing is a big win. But if you adjust the length a lot, kick it, trip on it, or have your dog slam into it chasing a toy...it's game over. The metal gate fell out of its slot after my second time trying to step over it and failing. I used zip ties to hold it in place. BUT I think the constant pulling out and pushing in to make it block off different areas of the house would be my real negative review. It would get stuck and eventually it was permanently stuck and I could no longer adjust it. It died when I pulled as hard as possible to get it to unstick and the wood splintered off the track....sign

Flimsy

Love the look of the gate bit very flimsy. Parts didn’t fit together well.

Well made gate

Beautiful well made gate however does not quite fit in my bathroom doorway correctly but I can use it. It is just bigger than I thought

Damaged and broken

The gates wooden Frame was chipped with wood missing in three different places. The gate is essentially two different parts that slide together to open and close. one of the actual black metal gates would not stay in place, parts were missing that would hold it in place on the frame and the holes for the metal weren’t deep enough… so it just fell out no matter which way I tried to fix it. Because I needed to use it immediately to contain a small dog I have the broken part resting up against the wall, Which is working for now, but I would not recommend purchasing this for any dog over 10 pounds as it is not sturdy and easily falls apart. Very disappointing. Update, the second metal gate has fallen out and will not go back in. I’m returning this immediately.

Looks nice!

This is a nice looking gate that does the job while looking nice and blending into the decor of our house. Easy to assemble. Highly recommend!

Terrible DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

This gate was very disappointing and is already broken (after just two weeks). The wooden track on one of the pieces splintered and broke so now the gate will not slide and I have the two halves propped together and held in place by my large kitchen trash can for now until I can get something that works. Gentle sliding of the gate To adjust to doorway should not break it. Cheaply made and $60 wasted. Also there is no way to contact the manufacturer to complain, just a statement that returns are accepted if in perfect condition. I just threw the pieces of gate away. What a waste.

Poor quality

Not very sturdy. Would have been easy to assemble but the gate was not attached and would not stay in place- you get what you pay for
