Why I am glad I bought this kit and what is included.

While installing my tankless water heater I went through a lot of drama trying to understand whether I really needed this kit and what it was composed of. Hopefully this will make others' lives easier :-) 1) This kit DOES include a pressure valve. Absolutely none of the pictures on any listing show this - it is the same misleading stock photo on every listing. You will need a pressure valve and this kit included it. 2) These valves are a brilliant piece of engineering. You absolutely could go to Home Depot and acquire the various parts to make your own set-up and save a few bucks but I believe for most people this kit will represent a much simpler, easier, and faster installation. 3) Having this capability makes draining the unit incredibly easy. You will do a lot more "routine" maintenance with a tankless heater and so whether you buy this kit or roll your own, don't cut out this step!
