Great glove for the price

I didn't see the need to spend $200 or more for a good glove that would last since I'm only playing catch with my kids who are playing baseball, softball, and t-ball, but I also didn't want to get a $40 Walmart special. This glove was very stiff out of the box, which is a sign of quality leather. I also got the glove conditioner kit (something I didn't do with my last glove about 8 years ago). I immediately rubbed in the glove oil/conditioner and put a baseball in the pocket, rolled the fingers in around the ball and put the two large rubber bands on it and set it up in my closet for the night. The next day I spent several hours working and bending the leather, specifically the trim and laces around the wrist at the bottom, using a glove mallet to beat the pocket, actually throwing a ball into the pocket, and flattening the glove with the thumb and pinky finger pulled flush. Then put a ball in the pocket again, rolled the fingers in around the ball and placed the rubber bands around it again overnight. Tonight after dinner, I got it out to go out and play catch with the kids. Remarkable difference in the conditioning and break in of the glove. Very soft and pliable, and in a much better condition to play catch with. Would easily consider it game ready.

Ready to go

I need to replace a glove that I had for years. After our first practice, this glove was ready to go. It was broken in and more comfortable than the gloves I replace which was 10 years old. Thanks Rawlings

Dust Baseball Glove

Out of the box was a little stiff brand new, but with hand insertion, rolling and folding of glove along with some use with a softball begins to soften. Adjustable velcro fit for large right throw(left hand). Great look but softball gloves will usually soften with use. Yes it says leather shell. Internally only a thumb loop/adjustable. Seems to fit better with index finger out. Bought for an old/young guy wanting some outside activity.

Good quality and value for money

The glove is well priced and of high quality for all leather , I would recommend it to anyone on a budget . Bought three cheap inferior gloves and spent more than this one cost

A great glove

Break it in the old fashioned way. You will enjoy it. Doesnt get as much use as it would if I was younger but does the job.

Great glove

I have big hands and this glove is almost a bit too small but I love it none the less. Came quite stiff but only took 4 games and its nice and soft now. The quick close velcro strap is perfect for snugging up the fit and being able to air out the glove after the game. The thumb insert is stiff enough to hold onto the infield grounders but still flexible enough to keep your hand comfortable. No stingers yet. Good buy

Short break-in period

First new glove in 40 years and its a beauty. Leather, H-Web, shock absorbency and perfect for an old guy. The finger holes were a bit small. After I put a dab of glove break-in oil in the finger holes, I stuck 4 screwdriver handles into the finger holes. About 8 hrs later, the screwdrivers went in a little further. DO NOT PUSH TOO HARD. About 8 hours later this glove fits like I have been wearing for 40 years. Can't wait to get out with the grand-kids.
