Came very rough, had to wash in plain white vinegar to soften, but then it was great. Got it for my son who has sensitive skin and whose other blanket ripped. He loves it.

You can watch TV through it!

It is what it is, an economal light weight blanket (throw). What it isn't is thermal... So don't order if you're expecting a thermal hospital type blanket. It's not one. It is well made the cotton weave is thick, it just has panels where the weave goes from heavy to light and that's where you can actually watch TV through it! Lol. It's a keeper for the price as you can throw it over your head to keep the chill off and still see where you're going! It heavy duty enough to handle stomping feet from a dog and fur balls from cats.. you can bleach the h+ll out of it! Again for the price it's worth it but if you're expecting a thermal cotton hospital blanket look past this and try to find a waffle weave ..

Who needs weighted blankets?

This is my favorite blanket. It’s the furthest thing from soft. It has holes so it won’t stay very warm for very long. But it’s perfect. My mom brought home one from the hospital when I was born and it was my favorite blanket growing up. Cozy in pajamas in the winter and cool on hot summer nights. It’s rough, impractical, and the only blanket you have to “break in” and I love it.

Getting shorter

The only thing I don't like about this blanket is every time I wash and dry it it shrinks in length, my husband is 6'2", had a stroke and this dementia and is in the bed most of the time, I need to tuck in at the foot, now I can barely do that.

Economic quality for economic price

This blanket felt very much like a hospital blanket. Nothing fancy and actually way too "institutional" like for me to want to use in my home. The price was very cheap and I should have questioned why before I purchased. So, depending on your needs, this blanket may be ok. I just wanted something that was more homey. The return was very easy though!
