Have to clean the paint off threads

You'll need to clean the paint off of the threads for fit anything other than the included plugs into the holes. Otherwise, this is a good cover with some weight to it. Includes a rubber gasket. All good but I spent way too much time cleaning the threads to fit the lampholders and motion sensor.

well made however not threaded for universal lamp holders

Great build quality. Found it necessary to tap the threaded holes as universal lamp holders were binding before bottoming out in the fixture plate.

Made very well-- the most stout I've ever seen as an electrician

These are THE most stout lighting outlet covers I've ever seen or installed and I've been around them for decades as an electrician. They actually possess some mass and thickness to them. Aluminum or some mix thereof. Made very well. They surpassed my expectation by leaps for the price.

Not all lights thread smoothly.

This was the only back plate I could find that had a lowered hole for a motion sensor. Out of 4 lamp holders I had from another fixture, two would fit easily into any of the 5 holes on the plate and two would not. I would guess that the threads on the holders have more variation than the back plate can tolerate. I was able to screw in the two tight lamp holders after lubricating the holes with some cutting oil and using a wrench with padded jaws so I didn't score up the metal. There was no problem screwing in the two plastic bodied motion sensors I am using.

4 lights plus a dusk to dawn sensor can work!!!

I bought the sigma outdoor spotlight holders for 2.97 each at lowes and a sigma dual to dawn sensor. It takes a little maneuvering and the paint on the threads makes it hard to screw the lamp holders in, but it can be done. Just use a wire brush or dremel to remove some paint from the threads, or use some lube. I now have 4 spotlights on each corner of my house!!! Total cost was 12.00 plus 10.00 for the dusk sensor, plus the bulbs!!!

Best round cover I’ve bought. Great price too.

I just put in several outdoor lights. I used about 12 of these in white and gray. These are terrific. I did have to retap the holes with a 1/2 inch pipe tap to get the pipe thread fittings to seat because of the powder coating.

Solid product.

Sturdy metal construction. Hole plugs include o-rings. Does not work with Hubbell RACO LTS100WH, the threads on the LTS100 were all wrong. I ended up buying the 'Sigma Electric, White 14330WH Lampholder' and they work well, just not quite as posable as the LTS100's.

Definately not SAE threads

I used this to set up a motion light assembly, the construction is good, nice and thick, and a good rubber seal is provided. However as others have said the threading on this is not correct for US. They are difficult to screw in, unscrewing reveals it is stripping the threads because the die used for the 1/2" NPT is not correct. There was no powder coating or paint in the threads, the caps supplied with it seem to fit easily, however actual 1/2" thread feels like its cross threaded and if you need to back out, it would just strip. I was able to get it to work with a lot of force, maybe it will be a little more water tight.
