Just the right size !!!

I ordered a different bacon tray, but it was too small. You would have had to half your bacon strips if they were to fit. I use mine long ways and it holds 5 to 6 strips of bacon, easily. Funny, but it is the exact Brand of bacon tray that I have had for year's.

Good Bacon Easy to Clean

I am retired. No kids. My wife and I generally cook 4 slices of bacon at a time. I sometimes make bacon and sausage from fresh pork. (In other words I am critical). I don't cook bacon in a fry pan or in an oven much anymore, unless I have guests, because of only making small amounts for a meal. I have tried several of the other bacon microwave cookers. They just do not compare with this microwave bacon grill. I am finally satisfied. I liked the last similar product I used except for the fact that it was shorter than a piece of bacon and after about the first 3 months it became difficult to clean. I wanted to throw it away long before I did. The progressive grill made it possible to throw the old grill away. It has been several months since the Progressive grill. It performs well it cleans up great.

Perfect for microwave bacon!

I always used to microwave bacon, but we replaced our microwave and the rack was too big to turn in the new machine. So I gave it up, and put up with bacon spattering me on the stovetop. (I was never happy with oven bacon or bacon done on a paper plate. We now purchased a slightly larger microwave, so I purchased this as my new rack. Frankly, now that I have it, I can see that with its curved edges, it would have worked in the old machine. Opportunity lost! It does a great job. This would be a pain to clean by hand because of all the ridges, but I give it a quick wipe and rinse in hot water and then put it in the dishwasher. Cleans up like a dream.

What I expected

Does just fine. I did not get any odors as some other reviews have indicated. The ONLY reason I didn't give it a 5 is no lid. I have another similar item, which is almost the exact same size, but has a cover that allows steam to release. It's nicer and more environmental friendly than using paper towels.

Cooks bacon easily.

No more bacon splatters on my stovetop. Time it right and the bacon is nicely done. Some grease soaks through the paper towels and sticks to the bottom of the pan requiring scrubbing to remove.

Cooks slow

I love the size and ease of cleaning. But, instructions recommend using 80% power. This makes cooking process slower on bacon. It is also hard to remember to only use at 80%.

Hard to adjust microwave time

Our previous microwavable bacon cooker was great so this one was bought as a replacement. On this cooker, we burned bacon more than once by using the time we used on the old cooker with the same amount of bacon strips (5). For some reason, the time does not work consistently, as some times, the bacon is not cooked enough. I don't think I would purchase this one again. And the burn marks don't wash/scrub off of the cooker!

First use left a little bit of a plastic flavor on my bacon! Hope this clears up by next use...

Not quite suitable

This smells like melting plastic when it gets hot and it leaves a bad taste on the food I do not recommend this item I just simply threw it away
