Seems fine, maybe runs small

I love Tough-1. My T-1 sheets are my favorites. This shoulder guard seems fine, and even though I haven't used it for more than a few days I expect it to last like the sheets do. Caveat: I believe the guard runs a bit small. I bought a Small for my 925-950-pound, 14.3, size 76 QH mare. The size is acceptable but I wish I'd bought a Medium.

Wound care

I used this shoulder guard to put on a Colt that got into the barbed wire fence and cut his chest, it has protected it from the Flies getting in there and their for healing quickly and protecting it from everything else

Not tight enough to stay up on the neck and pinches my horses back

The medium fits my 16h, 1,000lbs thoroughbred. I bought this because one of his blankets was rubbing out his mane and causing a sore spot on his withers. I liked ths one because it looked like it went higher up on the neck, which would help his mane. However, it isn't tight enough around the neck for it to stay up. And the elastic band that goes around his girth pinches his back, it left a sore spot just below his withers. But the quality of this shoulder guard is nice

Exactly what I was wanting. My only complaint is I wish the velcro was reversed so that the "scratchy" side isn't faced towards their skin. You can't adjust the girth of it because the only way to not scratch them is to have it fully fastened/covered.

Not strong enough

I like how far up the neck this mane stay comes, but the part where the velcro is on the neck is already coming apart. I will like a new one shipped out to replace it if possible.
