Works really well, no need to refill if cleaning whole house

Great steam cleaner. The only thing I wish was a little better was the quality of the attachments. When you're using the long extenders for something like steam cleaning a tile floor, you can't put too much pressure on it as it feels like it will break. When using it without the long extenders, it works great though for things like grout cleaning.

A real consumer review

It's okay, but left me underwhelmed. Basically it is like having an always ready warm moist towel at hand. So in that way it can save you some time from rinsing and rewarming towels. However, it really doesn't do anything special when it comes to cleaning stains, dirt, spills, or any other hard work. You're stuck with hard work with or without this product. A hot towel with a little cleaner will do a better job in every task I have attempted with the Steamfast so far except for a quick wash down of 1500 sq feet of hardwood floors. The one thing I will be able to use it for is steam cleaning the hardwood floors every three or four months. This is the main reason I purchased the product. With a couple extra pads, this cleaner is faster than the hoover floor shampoo/mop machine I have been using for years. But it's worth noting that all those other attachments and advertised uses are just marketing spam. Clean your stove/oven, range hood screens? Not really, hot water, soap, and some scrubbing do a better job and faster. Spot cleaning stains in the carpet? A hot rag with some carpet shampoo did much better in the attempt I just made minutes ago. Stains on the fabric sofa or stool seats? It did no better than a quick warm rag wipe down. A little shampoo and hot towel cleaned up much better than the Steamfast could. Only two stars because I had to stop using it after a little while as the handle suddenly became burning hot and started spraying burning hot water on my hand. I'm sure it will be fine again for 30 minutes when it cools down, but mind as well save the trouble and just use towels and do the whole job. Other notes: -Most of the reviews on here appear to be fake/sponsored/Vine compensation spam. -The smaller attachments, brushes and stuff constantly fall off when cleaning. -The attachments in general are really cheaply made. The blue sponge thing started falling off the plastic within 10 seconds of use. -The one item I will use, the floor mop and pole don't lock into the hose handle completely. A little bit of a pain. -Steamfast and McCulloch are the same company and share at least some of the same components and parts.

Got parrots? This thing is perfect for keeping their cages spiffy and clean!!

After trying many methods to clean our parrot cage, this did the trick! Parrot cages are usually powder coated steel, and can be tough to get as clean as you’d like due to the cracks and crevices wheee the parts align. When birdy poop “accidentally” gets into a tight space, it can be frustrating to get it clean. Since we are in a condo, a pressure washer wasn’t an option (and probably was overkill for the job) so I thought “hey why not try a steamer!” I’m glad I did, because it worked perfectly and there was little mess to deal with throughout. The Steamfast was quite simple to assemble and get going. Distilled water required a quick trip ‘round the bend, but after filling I was ready to go in under ten minutes. I used the plastic bristled brush and left the setting wheel kind of in the center. It was easy to just scrub over the spots I needed to clean, and the steam plus brush combo took care of the space in-between the cage panels. When I was done, the powder coating was intact, the cage was clean and spiffy, and the birds were thrilled. Looking forward to a lot less work when it comes time to do this job. Now I’m planning on heading to the bathroom for a little steam session on the grout!! So in short, five stars so far!!

Happy with my purchase once more

I own a steamfast clothing streamer and have been using distilled water in it. I bought it years ago and it's still working like a brand new one. I was in need of a good floor streamer so I did my research. Honestly most of the streamers have the same type of reviews from consumers so I thought I should go with a brand that I'm familiar with and I'm happy I did. I steamed the tiles by the entry way and not only the grout is back to its original color, there were some old paint drops from previous owner that I was able to get off the tile in less than a minute! I'm super excited to clean my stove top, inside my oven and also sanitize the bathrooms with my new streamer especially since this streamer will allow me to work nonstop for 90 minutes.

Waiting for next model for better usuability and quality

I love this steamfast, I have 3 Siberian husk/malamute dogs and mama had a litter of 6, so its a constant challenge to keep the floors cleans. the biggest downside is the handle where the cord attaches seems to unwravel the plastic casing exposing the insulated tube within it- under normal use within 2 months. That is my 1st beef. Using duct tape only worked for a few weeks. The 2nd issue, is the manufacture needs to come up with a way or mechanism that allows the user to drag the steamer by the cord ( yes) . There's not way i'm going to walk 10 ft every 7 seconds to pull it along to mop 800 sqft every day (sometimes 3x a day) honest truth. The cord holdd up decently - (much better than the handle) and starts to show the insulated cord after 9 months. Some of the attachments are nifty, but I don't use them other than the super skinny nozzle for tile. That worked great the first 2 times. the 3rd time the insides come out and have to bemanually reinserted to the handle. Otherwise, I love the product- 100 x easier than a conventional mop

Product exactly as described. Pros - Fast and very effective at heating. Clean continuous steam generation. Effective for cleaning. Very portable. Power through mirror and appliance cleaning in a minute. No need for chemicals. Cons - Storage bin opens when you carry. Insufficient capacity for all the accessories. Scrubbing mop attachment sometimes falls off when you steam. Cord is long but hard to wrap around the unit for storage. No issue so far with the steam gun. Again clips to hold it in storage would be preferred. Product is worth the additional price compared to the model SF-370WH.

Its alright but i am not convinced the whole steam cleaning is a thing. It works flawlessly on my shower tiles but not much on shower windows. Not much on fabric.

Total waste of money

This machine is utter crap. Wouldn't blow out a candle, let alone steam clean anything. I had the previous model, this one is not even 10% as powerful
