Not very durable but affordable.

I installed this gold-toned toilet level made by Danko several years ago. That lever lasted only about 3 to 4 years before the handle just snapped at the narrowest part. Perhaps it failed due to bad casting or perhaps it was poorly designed. There's a hole drilled through the narrowest part of the handle that made the narrowest part even weaker. There's no good reason why they had to drill that hole on the handle during the manufacturing process. I bought a replacement of the same model on Amazon because I like the gold tone appearance of this lever, but its durability is known to be poor. Keep this in mind when you purchase it. At least it is cheap.

Great product, but a second rubber washer is needed

We have an older toilet and tank. The hole for the handle is larger than what I suspect exist on newer (last 20 years) models. Still not too larger, however, I used the rubber washer with the square inside fitting on the outside, rather than on the inside of the handle. A second similar rubber washer as an extra would have really been nice to have. The handle was far too loose with only the one washer on either side. Directions stipulate it should be installed on the inside, so as a substitute I had a few hose washers (for spray nozzles) and used one of them on the inside. But, still a bit loose and a second hose washer was too much to allow clearance of the inside rod connection eyelet during flushing. Since it was still too loose, I used an O-ring that was thin enough to help secure the handle on the inside and allow the clearance and also tighten the handle as needed. This could all have been avoided with a second rubber washer with the square hole included in the package. The outside rubber washer (as installed) also protects the porcelain tank. Otherwise, a nice product.

Easy to install.

Well made product. This is worth every penny. Good price. Don't go for the cheaper versions. Watch the video at the bottom of Amazon's page that is included with pictures. The video is 50 seconds long. EZ to install. It took me five minutes. Then enjoy.

Great Product, best ever!

I purchased to try to resolve an old failing toilet I have been trying to repair for a long time. Can you say "years". After buying the usual hardware store pieces of junk that range in the $5 to 13 dollar range. I thought I would take the plunge (no pun intended) and try one last time to repair this old relic. Well I guess I still have faith in my fellow engineers. This item although a bit difficult to install or maybe I should say adjust and tweak. Anyway I'm a 60 Yr. old with lots of hand on work and trade finally got it in and adjusted after around 1.5 Hours. The last 1/2 hour was spent adjusting the ball chain to the most effective length. For what it's worth, wire ties work the best on the chain ends to make it so the chain ends don't move around creating issues with the ball ending up in the same place to seal the hole in the tank. But then, that's another write up, smile. This is simply one of the best flush handle and levers I have ever seen. It will more than likely outlast me let alone the toilet. Very well engineered as it only takes a very light pressure to make it work. Not like the others that one has to almost stand on to get a flush. Highly recommended by geek types like myself. As I said, if you can manage to withstand the small issues with installing it, you will be forever very happy like me. Heck, I had to write this review after a few days of use. I don't review stuff unless they are either really great or stink. So, bottom line. Really great item! Pros - Very easy to flush, Actually has a square collar that fits my tanks square hole. Nothing like trying to put a square peg in a round hole. Real Chrome Finish, REAL Brass Lever, Absolutely NO Plastic anywhere..... Built like brick you know what, hey that's why we're looking at these right? CONS- The only one I can find is it is a bit hard to install. But if I can do it, so can you. Heck in another review for this item I believe a 78 yr old woman did it too. Buy this and live with happy toilet flushing forever.

Anyone wondering if this will work in a Mansfield flush valve? Yes - it does! I've had trouble with this toilet since I bought the house 2 years ago - chain kept popping off. Did some research and discovered you're not supposed to use a chain - you need an arm long enough to slip through the hole of the loop on the flush valve. And you can't just get any replacement - it needs to be long enough. This did the job. My first time attempting any kind of a fix like this and it was easy (hardest part was putting the nut on - ended up holding it still and using a Phillips head on the screw). I did have to reverse the arm from the picture as it was keeping the float from moving, but it does not hit the ceramic front. It works perfectly. This is a HIGH QUALITY product that will last. The handle is solid and beautiful. The arm is not plastic, it is sturdy metal. I just love to flush it now - the handle goes down gently and the returns slowly. No more tripping up, no more chains to break and no more cheap handles. I was able to do this job in under 15 minutes and I've never worked on plumbing before - new home owner. So proud of myself!!!

Good replacement, looks fancy.

Good value, easy to install with a wrench and screwdriver. The handle seems a bit loose and just due to the length of the shaft into the tank, but overall am happy. Looks nice too! Heavy, doubt it’ll break like my last plastic handle.
