A nice replacement to the original screw cap for S'well wide mouth bottles

I've got an early model S'Well insulated bottle with nice wide mouth. But it only came with a closed screw lid. This means any time you want to take a sip of water the lid must come off completely. This replacement lid fixes that problem. The lid is made of a reasonably thick and sturdy metal outside, with core plastic inside. The quality is pretty close to the OEM lid. My only gripe about the flip top is that it's a very tight friction fit. You really have to press hard to get it to lift up. I imagine it will loosen up over time. But right now, it requires more force than I would find normal (so it gets 4 stars).

Fits travel mug

My original travel mug from Swell broke. The flip lid snapped off so I tried this lid as a substitute. It seems to fit and seal the mug.

It's a lid. I have had no issues with it. The latch is sturdy and it makes a tight seal when screwed onto the container.

Good idea but the lid leaks.

I loved the idea of the lid but it had some major issues, got it for my swell bottle and was bummed out to find that it leaks. Upon further inspection I found that this lid did not come with a rubber seal like my water bottle lid did. I ended up transferring seal from my water bottle lid to help with the leaking but the lid is still not perfect.

Not leak proof

Ive had this replacement for a month now. It leaks when taking a drink from it. But, still keeps water ice cold. Ive started using it with a straw. It serves it purpose for the most part. Three starts for keeping water ice cold. But, I'll be damn each time it spills out in my backpack

Love this lid!

I keep a bottle of ice water by my bed each night. However, having to unscrew the lid in the middle of the night to get a sip of water was not the best option. This flip lid of makes it so easy to just grab a drink and go right back to sleep.

This is a perfect lid for my swell bottle would recommend to purchase so you don’t have to remove the original lid all the time to take a drink. Great idea worth the money and also leak proof would purchase again. Thanks ????

The original cap (version 1) has an overly tight seal that makes it difficult and sometime impossible to open. I brought this one so the bottle is more usable. This is not going keep the temp as good as the original cap but it is to be practically expected.
