Functions as well as expected.

While I did enjoy using this makeup sponge, I would not add this to my repurchase list. I do not feel that the item provided a level of quality that warranted the current amount charged. It is a makeup sponge, and it works in the expected manner, with no surprises.

Spreads foundation well

This soft makeup blender does not scratch or tug on skin. Nice size to complete whole face. Only flaw is that darker makeup is hard to clean off the blender.

Pretty good makeup sponge

I don't usually use these kind of sponges but thought I would give it a try. Ive been using it for 2 weeks and I like it. Great on putting your makeup on evenly and makes it a little easier to apply my foundation around my eyes and nose. The only thing is cleaning it even with a make-up cleanser its still hard to clean.

Slightly better than cheap brands, not as good as the original Beautyblender, overpriced

The old one I'm replacing with this was a cheap $5 sponge. This one is $12, good sponge but a tad overpriced. I used .1 ml of foundation to test this on my cheek with the scar, without primer. What's the same? Size (wet or dry), makeup application (both absorbed some makeup), both blended fine. What's different? The ModelCo is maybe 25% more dense, the material is less porous (my nails didn't leave a mark like with the old one), cleaned better than the old one with soap and warm water after it dried. I always use warm water to let it expand to completely and squeeze out the excess, then set it on the counter to 'dry' to just being damp. The trick to blending with this is to dab, don't rub. Rubbing will only remove the makeup you're trying to apply. Use the pointy end for smaller areas.

Expensive

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this sponge but there’s also nothing spectacular that would warrant the current price of $13.19. I think it’s value for price and quality is expensive in comparison to similar dense make up sponge applicators on the market. This sponge is hard and firm when compared to like Real Techniques brand sponges. I don’t mind that. I feel that this ModelCo sponge absorbs less and ultimately wastes less product. I gravitate towards these dense sponges cause they last longer and I don’t see a huge difference in foundation application. I do prefer a softer sponge for an after setting spray press. This is not it. The makeup sponge is large (surface area) when wet/damp and I cannot imagine using this dry, it’s just too dense. It’s difficult to work with around the eyes that require a smaller applicator. Because it’s so dense, it takes longer to dry. This sponge stayed damp for over two days so it’s an absolute must wash with soap and water after every use if you don’t want to breed bacteria and compromise your skin. I like the sponge, I just don’t like the price value.

Works well, but a little pricey

This sponge works well and is decently soft while still blending appropriately. However, there's nothing crazy making it more outstanding to warrant paying a bit more than other brands. I do really like the color though as it's vibrant and looks just like the photo

Cute and Useful Accessory

This is our first time with a makeup sponge,.The shipment arrived on time and packaging was convenient. The sponge is very soft and doesn’t soak any of the foundation, concealer, etc. It is easy to use and clean and the price isn’t too bad. The quality is good for the price, and I would recommend it. The only downside of this product is that you can’t use this for any dry makeup because it doesn’t stick, for that, I would recommend using a brush.

good blender - swells up enormously with enough water

This isn’t my first makeup sponge, I’ve used similar blenders before. This one is quite nice, it has a great texture. It says you can use wet or dry but I would only use it wet. It swells up ENORMOUSLY if you use enough water - felt like 3 times the size! (which is more than my other blenders swell up). I recently got ModelCo’s “glow stick” which I liked on my lips but had a lot of trouble blending on my face. Now that I have this ModelCo blender, I tried again and it did blend better (though still not GREAT.) So I would say that this is a great blender. However, it does feel a bit overpriced.
