Excellent pen press

This is an excellent pen press. It is simple to use and has made pressing pens extremely easy. It's a bit pricier than others I've seen, but in my opinion, its ease of use and build quality make up for it.

Damages the tip

This is almost a great little piece of engineering. Unfortunately it has destroyed numerous pen tips by crushing them into the receiver during pen assembly. I’ve tried putting various items in between the tip and the unit for cushion, with mixed results. I really like the spring loading of pen parts, it’s like having a third hand, however I’ve had to throw away more pen kits than I paid for this press.

Should have bought this two years ago!!

This is so nice! I have been making pens for two years and thought this was a waste of money. I made wooden inserts for my lathe and pushed parts in that way. I wish I would have started with this!!! It's so easy and quick to put your pens together with. So happy with this purchase!

Superb, well engineered and designed pen press. Highly recommended.

I've been pressing my turned pens using a vice since I started the hobby, and while a vice works, it's not a patch on the ease of use this Turners Press exhibits. Construction looks to be solid as a rock, and the system of flipping over aluminum spacers to allow for longer or indeed shorter pens to be assembled is excellent. Had one pen on the go and ready to press when it arrived, and honestly, I know it's a bit of an outlay, but this is going to be worth every penny in terms of ease of use and finished result. I've had one or two pens slip on me using a bench vice, and cracked the pen cases, but this looks like it presses smoothly and flush. Had to order from the USA as couldn't find one in the UK. Delivery well within the specified time period. Excellent all round!

The Best Pen Press in the World, Honestly!

My first reaction to this Pen Press was a little disappointing, and I'm not sure why. Then I started using it. Crikey it was like having an extra hand. It is sturdy and robust and it makes assembling any Pen a piece of cake. I've used it on Slimlines, Fountain Pens, Pencils and Stylus and I am really pleased with it. Did I say I was pleased? That's an understatement it is the best piece of Pen Kit out there bar none. If you are serious about making Pen Assembly easy then this is what you need. Great Great product. When I bought the item from Amazon it didnt arrive. I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement by courier and rang to check that I got it. Great Service.

Makes life easy again

I can not tell you how this has made my pen making hobby so easy and enjoyable again. I’ve been using a vice and home made press and this tool is the Bee’s knees. Simple to set up and use and the spacer system makes it so quick to change the length of the press.Brill
