Love my Juicer

I use the juicer 2 to 3 times a week and have been having fun with creating different recipes. The juicer is very sturdy and separates the pulp nicely. It is my understanding there are other filters if you like higher amounts of pulp but I use the standard filter that came with. It has only gotten stuck once in the past 4 months - I put too many fibrous roots in a row but it wasn't anything a little reversal action couldn't fix. Clean up sucks.

Kuvings Silent Juicer without Smart Cap, black 220V

I'm very pleased with my Kuvings, for the most. I just only has juiced apples, oranges and carrots, so far, but I'm gonna try some more "items". I't jammed a bit with carrots, but it was my fault, because I din't cut them in smaller pieces enough, when I re cut them, the machine worked like a clock! My apples was a soft kind of apples, so the juice came out thick, but that does not worry me at all. This juicer is lack of that smart cap, which I think is a big minus. And the color is a ordinary black, not black pearl, which it should be, the headline says. But it does not matter me so much. My Kuvings works in 220 V, because I live in Europe. I tried to order that cap separately, but the delivery store on the internet store does not deliver to private customers, which is a big minus. I hope that Amazon.com will get those smart caps in stock soon, so I can order it from there. If this juicer had that smart cap, which I miss a lot, I had rated it with 5 stars! Otherwise I'm happy with it, only the price is not so happy thing=). My Kuvings cost a lot more because I had to pay extra because I live here in Europe.Actually 90 euro! For the duty and vat. Vat is very high in Finland. 24% to be exact. But although I'm satisfied with my juicer.

It's OK (Update: No, it isn't OK)

UPDATE: I decided that I had spent too much money to NOT send it back. I tried this thing for a few weeks. I read all the reviews and the manual and got online and tried several different ways to make it work better for me. I am a serious juicer and this thing choked so often that I spent most of my time unclogging it rather than making my juice. The plug in the bottom is a very poor design. It keeps it from leaking and makes it very easy to clean, but it hinders the pulp from exiting the juicer so it can fall into the bin. This also results in the auger getting clogged. I would really consider this to be more of a centrifugal juicer. Also, the rest of my review about being easy to clean still stands and it is quiet. I tried very hard to like it because I am lazy and now I have to send it back. It would be great if all you had to do was carrots. I am getting an Omega now. It blows this thing away and costs less. ________________________________________________________________ ORIGINAL REVIEW: I got this juicer based on its reviews, while my Mom got an Omega at the same time based on its great reviews. This is, by far, the nicest juicer I have ever owned but I gave it four stars because now I can compare it side-by-side with the cheaper Omega(I can't recall which model she bought). The biggest drawback to this one that I see is that it does not produce really dry pulp and leaves quite a bit in the basket with the auger. If I didn't have my mom's to compare it to, I wouldn't have even noticed, but the Omega really gets a lot more juice out of the fruits and veggies. This one does a fine job, just not as great. This one is very easy to clean up (I rinse it right after I use it and that makes ALL the difference). It goes together easy and runs quietly. It is heavy and feels like a nice juicer. I was able to choke it on a beet though. Pretty badly. I had to cut the beet into tiny chunks after that. That was sad to see, but I was able to use reverse and then forward to get through it. The drawback with the Omega is that you have to cut things pretty small for the short, narrow mouth. That really isn't much of an issue with this one. Other than that, I wish I would have gotten an Omega but I am too lazy to return my Kuvings and I like it well enough to keep it and use it for a long time.

Absolutely Love This Juicer!!

I did a lot of research before investing in this juicer. I read countless reviews, spent days watching youtube video comparisons and juice offs. Learned all about centrifugal vs masticating juicers. And I felt that investing in a high quality juicer would pay for itself over time, because it would yeild more juice than cheaper and more inferior juicers, thereby saving money on produce that I would need to buy for the next 10 years. I received this very quickly from Amazon. And it was easy to put together - just line up the red dots and make sure the barrel in the center clicks into the base. The lid will not attach if everything is not seeded properly. Also .... always remember to put the rubber stopper back into the base of the pulp chute before using (you have to pull it out during cleaning to clean the pulp chute)!!! Don't forget or your juice may leak out! I did that once .... learned my lesson ... won't ever forget that again! Luckily the learning curve on all this is pretty easy, and after a try or two, I got it down. Just read the manual first and you'll be fine. I purchased this in the Pearl Red color, and it's gorgeous. Looks so nice in my kitchen. Highly recommend! Also, I love it's self-feeding ability and the quality of the juice it produces is amazing! Soooo delicious! At first I was throwing in everything but the kitchen sink, and my juice was not tasting so good. But then I actually started thinking about the different flavor combinations, and what I LIKE, not what online gurus tell me I SHOULD drink. Everyone tells you to add 3-5 veggies for every fruit because of the sugar content. But I like lot of fruit with just 1 or 2 veggies thrown in - I am not worried about the fruit sugar because I know that I am getting sooooo many wonderful vitamins, minerals and precious disease-fighting phyto-nutrients, that it is far better for me to drink fresh fruit juiced with 1 veggie, than no juice at all. And if I had to drink veggie juice ..... I would drink no juice at all ... because I cannot choke that kale and wheatgrass stuff down. Give me apples, carrots, pears, mangos, papayas, pineapple, grapes and oranges anyday! So now I am making delicious juices everyday that I LOVE and look forward to every morning. Additionally, I find this juicer pretty easy to clean. The hardest part is using the brush handle to get out any remaining pulp from the pulp chute, but that can easily be avoided if you flush the unit out with water after you're done juicing. Before you disassemble it to clean, close the little cap that sits on the end of the juice spout, and then fill the juicer slowly through the feed chute with fresh water and run for about ten seconds, then open the cap and let it all flush out into the pitcher. Do that TWICE. It really helps a lot with flushing out the pulp, and makes clean up much faster and easier. This juicer has never locked up on me (although it does have a reverse button if that should ever happen). I have never had a problem removing the cap or dismanteling any part of it. It actually runs like a dream for me. Like I said, I absolutely love it!

We love it!

Been using this juicer every other day for about 5 months now. No issues. Easy to clean. I went with this style due to research in juicers Ive done. Not to say one style is better, I just thought this style would suit out needs better, being quite. I also like the smart cap allows you to measure how much of certain green/veggie just you have or added. Its also nice to have the option for add-on like the frozen desert addon Kuvings offers. And in all honesty, we feel better and are getting sick (cold/flu) less and symptoms seem to go away faster. For example I used to get knocked out by a flu for a few days before juicing greens/veggies. Since juicing, symptoms are minor and usually only last a day or 2 at most. Well see by next winter how it goes. Yes, I have recommended this Juicer to friends and family. They have bought one and are just as happy. Plus, customer service was great. I broke the smart cap, they asked the usual info and sent out a replacement right away. If anything changes I will be sure to update my review.

Sweet Juicer.

Awesome! Great quality and smooth operation:) my chickens and pigs love the leftovers;). I really like the little plug that holds the juice in until it all is mixed together.
