Perfect addition to my emergency kit

I often buy items and then repurpose them for my application. This pouch was no exception. It is designed for wet situations in a kayak. Making it water resistant is a bonus but I don't think it will see any moisture in my setup. The pouch seems sturdy and the fact that they give you stainless steel hardware as well is a definite plus I bought it and thought it would be a great addition to emergency kit that I carry in my truck. What I did was I drilled 4 holes in the front of one of the milk cartons that I have in my truck that holds my gear and then I used cable ties to secure the pouch. I thought it would be easier to mount it my way instead of using the supplied stainless steel hardware because milk cartons do not have flat edges in the corners and using hardware would have made it difficult to mount it evenly. Using cable ties I secured it with no sharp hardware sticking out to cut my hands. Also moving the pouch from location to another could be done much quicker by just cutting the cable ties. I put my loose items in the pouch and also items I would go to often in it as well. It works so well I'm thinking about ordering another for use elsewhere in my cargo area. Great addition to my kayak!

I have been looking for a solution for tying off lines on my kayak. This was was for my anchor on the front of my kayak. I have a 6 lbs anchor and it easily held me in place and never once slipped. Now I am thinking about adding another for a rear anchor position. Would highly recommend if you need a point to secure rope on your kayak. I used a drill bit the same size as the screw so I had used a drill to screw it into the mounting board. Then I tightened up the nut. Pretty easy.
