Will not fit dowling jig

Unfortunately, the bit is not compatible with Self Centering Dowelling Jig (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NXM2R4T?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). The drill bit shaft needs to be 1/4" at the chuck end rather than being enlarged. Or the existing 1/4" dia section needs to be longer so that the bit can reach far enough through the 1/4" drill sleeves found in the above mentioned jig. As it, when using the Dowelling Jig, this bit cannot drill a 3/4" deep hole. For other applications, this Marples bit seems to be a very good product.

Bit does as described

I used this bit on plastic miniatures to create a flush surface that fits an N52 magnet of the corresponding size. The product makes a perfectly sized, flush recess. The issue I have with it, though trivial, is that I must do it by hand to prevent damage to the miniature. I wish such bits were sold with the option for a separate hand grip or tool that makes it easier to handle without using power tools, but it got the job done regardless.
