Seems very very clunky but has use-case

I'm a Lutron fan. I admit it. I was helping someone else set this up and it was quite terrible. Their iphone would just hang during setup and never finish setting up the gateway. No reason given. Finally after an hour of frustration I tried it with an android phone and the android app said that it could not connect because our wifi was 5 Ghz and it requires 2.4 Ghz. The thing is that the wifi there has both bands. He's going to have to now create a separate SSID that's only 2.4 GHz. The bad part is that dimmers that come with this can't be configured manually for the load type without the app so he also has cabinet lights that need ELV dimming and we had to take out the dimmer and put the old dumb dimmer back in. I never had setup issues with Lutron's Caseta but the benefit with this one is that you don't need an ethernet jack. Still, it'd be nice if it was dual band because even IOT devices are set up for that nowadays. ...or at least let the app tell you why it's not working.
