Worked perfectly

My IR SS5 was working wrong, a friend of mine who knows of pneumatics told me the check valve was going bad so I replaced it and it has been working like new since then.

Direct replacement for an I-R compressor check valve

I had a slow leak in my Ingersoll-Rand compressor. The check valve was worn and leaking, so I replaced it with this. It is not an I-R part; it is an after-market replacement. But it works well. The leak is gone. I'm not sure about the durability of this valve since I just installed it. The threads are the exact same size, both on the tank and on the fill line from the pump. However, the outside hex fitting - used to remove and to install the check valve - is smaller. The factory fitting is a 30mm. This replacement is 1 1/8". Not a big deal, but it does mean the manufacturer used less brass. I think this won't mean it will have a shorter lifespan or be less durable.

Exact fit

Exactly what I needed to repair my Ingersoll Rand compressor. Had 2 smaller ports for the pressure relief valve and the drain for the head. The hex is sized for SAE wrenches. It went in with no issues. I was back to blowing in a few minutes.
