Classic Flush-Mount Ceiling Fan

This ceiling fan turned out to be everything I wanted in a fan for my living room and I'm happy with it. I added a ceiling medallion (Ekena Millwork CMP19TR Traditional Thermoformed PVC Ceiling Medallion) and spray painted the medallion antique bronze to match the fan. Like any ceiling fan, there were the usual challenges to installation, but I installed it on my own and it was pretty straightforward. The fan is exceptionally quiet at all speeds, with little more than the sound of moving air generated, and it operates very smoothly. I preferred the lighter colorizing of one side of the fan blades, which gives them more contrast with the dark bronze of the motor housing and blade holders (the darker side of the blades was too close to antique bronze for me). Since the fan was installed on an 8-foot ceiling, it was important for it to be low profile, and at 12 3/4 inches (not including pull chains but including medallion) the fan does not feel in the way at all. I would buy this fan again if I needed a low-profile ceiling fan for another room. The fact that it is a Hunter fan gives it a little more credibility for a future home buyer that might judge the quality of the fan based on the brand. It was also very reasonably priced. I looked at hundreds of fans on Amazon, bought and returned a different fan, and finally settled on this one. Whether lucky or smart, I ended up with the right fan for my purposes.

Great Ceiling Fan

Bought this Hunter ceiling fan for my master bedroom. I wanted a low-profile quiet fan. I am female, in my late 60s and am healthy and in shape (no joint issues, etc). I read the directions and familiarized myself with all parts. Used a good ladder with a little working platform on it. I took the old fan down and had to do a little work on the ceiling to accept the new fans bracket. I put the Hunter fan up in a couple of hours by myself. No problem if you read and follow instructions. The fan is beautiful and totally quiet.

Description incorrect

The description said chain pull operation, remote control. The temp control DIDN’T come with it and had to order that separately. I haven’t installed yet as the remote control came today.

Be Warned: This fan does NOT come with the "universal handheld remote."

Although the fourth bullet point in the "About This Item" list says: "PULL CHAIN CONTROL: Turn the brushed nickel ceiling fan on/off and adjust the speed quickly and easily with the pull chains; Adjust the brightness of light and speed with ease from anywhere in the room with the universal handheld remote" - no such universal remote is included with this fan. Very disappointed when I figured this out. I already had the fan mounted to the ceiling so it was not worth it to me to take it down, repackage it, and send it back to Amazon. But, Amazon should either : 1) send me the remote for this fan, or 2) refund me whatever the cost of a new aftermarket remote would be - about $35. The fan itself is nice and relatively easy to install - but missing a key item that led to me purchasing this fan.

MISLEADING ADVERTISING

I ordered the Hunter Kenbridge white ceiling fan on 27 November 2021. I received the fan on 2 Dec 2021. I hired a professional contractor to install the fan. Upon completion, I asked about the remote control, and was told that the fan did not come with one. As you can see in the highlighted areas of the attached screenshot from the Amazon website, it clearly states twice that a remote control is included in the product description. This is one of the primary reasons I selected this ceiling fan. What happened to a hunter quality control?

I ordered the same fan from a big box store and had to return it due to a large amount of rust on the interior of the housing cover. I found this same fan on Amazon and happened to see it at a sale price so I ordered it from Amazon. This one also had some rust on the interior of the housing cover. I needed to get a fan up so I decided to keep this one. It is quiet and pushes a lot of air. It does have a little shake but I believe I could probably balance it out. I’m just disappointed in Hunters quality control. I’ve always purchased Hunter fans and have never had an issue until this one.

Good fan, great customer service

Although things didn’t start out great, in that the globe broke in shipping, that ended up being the only problem. The instructions were clearly written and the installation was relatively easy for that reason. The fan is quiet and can easily freeze us out in second speed. It also looks great. I often remind my wife that I installed it, but she’s not as impressed as she should be. Really, the best part ended up being the broken globe. I called Hunter and explained the situation, and in fewer than four minutes on the phone a replacement part was on its way, free of charge. The globe arrived three days later. I thought that was pretty classy. I know where I’ll look first for my next fan.
