It failed to work after first charge. Impossible to get refund or return to seller.

NEW ONE is working OK! I am not rating it higher due to original bad purchasing experience via non-garmin reseller. GARMIN did their job and changed it. A NEW ONE IS COMING! GARMIN is changing it. It was not possible to return it to Amazon Seller. I will review again when it arrives. When it was received it was put to charge as it was completely discharged. It was very strange that it took an eternity for its initial charge. It was used once, leaving a high level battery. When it was intended to be used again (one or two days later) it was almost completely discharged and died. It was not possible to charge it again as there was no response.

Love the unit but...

The Garmin unit itself is amazing, love looking at all the data it produces. However, the heart rate monitor is hit and miss. I have been using Garmin HR monitors for several years, but disappointed in this particular one. Otherwise happy with the 1030 unit.

Excellent bundle.

The Edge 1030 Plus sensor bundle is a nice addition to my cycling. The speed sensor appears to be a little more accurate than GPS, especially when on tree covered trails. I really like all the added features like the Ride with GPS app from Garmin Connect. Now I can view and navigate rides that are Pinned from my RWGPS phone app. Also like the controls for the Garmin UT800 smart light. The touchscreen is easy to use while riding (additional purchase). And seems pretty intuitive. The mounting brackets are awesome. Can have 2 Garmin devices on a single mount, computer and battery pack or computer and light. All of the metrics from the various sensors are good using the Garmin Connect app. Can’t wait to really test this on Century and Night rides.

The best that Garmin has to offer!

I needed a replacement for my aging Garmin Edge 1000 and my Wahoo HR monitor and was looking around on Amazon and found this amazing bundle for $640 after taxes. The Garmin Edge 1030 plus on it's own is priced more than that. The included bundle with the Garmin HRM, speed and cadence sensors made this an instant buy. The new Garmin HRM is really comfortable, stays on perfectly (unliked my Wahoo) which kept snapping apart. The Garmin Edge 1030 plus is significantly faster than my Garmin Edge 1000 and the battery lasts so much longer. The 1030 plus has the new Garmin UI which is nice and navigating the menus and screens is super smooth. Out of the box, the HRM and the 1030plus were already paired which was surprising. Pairing to my phone and my Stages power meter was also a breeze. So far I've been impressed!

State of the art bike computer

Incredible screen brightness, insane battery life, fast processing power and a vast amount of data. The 1030 PLUS is an amazing bike computer packed with power. The screen is plenty bright, even directly under the sun. Battery life is spectacular (of course battery life depreciates over time but right out of the box, it’s been amazing so far). Moving from screen to screen is easy, very responsive touchscreen and snappy CPU. If you have DI2, the setup is easy and they work along each other so so well. 10/10 would buy again

This is a great product with so many features. Many features I will never use but so many I never thought of.
