Not what I thought

The glue itself worked perfectly for what I needed it for, however it was so thick that I couldn’t use the bottle top to squeeze it out. I ended up having to tap some out and use a small brush to apply it.

Good glue

Ordered to much, needed a smaller size.

Bottle was partially dried up. Had to add water to restore the glue.

This is a very good wood glue. This bottle however was partially dried out, not to the point it was unusable, but it was too thick to go through the squirt nozzle. This glue responds well to adding a couple of tablespoons of water to restore the moisture content. It was just a hassle to have to do this to a brand new bottle.

Trusted, tried, and true name brand. I use this for all sorts of wood repairs needed and it never lets me down.

Adheres great, but hard to get out of the bottle.

This glue does almost everything it says (though I wouldn't exactly call it "stainable"--it accepts maybe 30-60% of the color that the wood accepts). An issue I ran into is that this wood glue "max" has something like wood fibers in it, perhaps so it'll accept stain, which makes it gritty and difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. The regular, non-max Elmer's wood glue comes out much more easily. Once this one is out of the bottle, though, it's more of a paste that stays where you put it slightly better than the non-max glue, which tends to drip more.

Very good glue

It's really holds amazing, best wooden glue I've used. The only pretty significant downside is the plastic cap that broke after a few uses, and the bottle should be closed properly so the glue won't dry. Probably not a bad idea to buy another a bit more sturdy bottle for the glue.

Higher Viscosity - Less Runny

I have been a loyal titebond user for years but the last time I needed glue titebond had a long lead time so I decided to try Elmers. I really like the fact that the glue is higher viscosity because it doesn't run or drip nearly as much as titebond. I also notice no difference in strength. I may have found a new standard for my workshop.

Caution

I know this is a good wood glue but never buy wood glue in the winter time. Mine froze somewhere along the way and it was a thick gel when I received it. Totally unusable. Not worth the bother of returning it.

Great quality wood glue

I am a big fan of this glue, its easy to use and gives a strong bond. The nozzle has a easy to use and keep clean top on. It has a flat shape to it which makes it easy to apply.
