How have I lived without this my whole life?

This has FINALLY solved the issue of jars mysteriously breaking in the water bath canner. I think the bottom of the pot was just getting too hot, and the glass was sitting on a metal rack right on that. The materials in this rack must protect the bottom of the jars from heat a lot better. My summer of canning was made so much more pleasant by having this little helper in the bottom of my pot!

Versatile canning rack

This versatile canning rack fit my stockpot. Also, it can be used for different size jars and it won't rust over the years. I like it!

It's a canning rack

I bought this because I'd heard about the rusting the metal ones do, and who wants to deal with that? So I figured I'd just get this one and avoid tetanus all together. Part of my issue with this is how high it sits up in the canner. I guess this is the trade off between this and metal, but my larger jars are too tall for my canner with this. However, I can stack the little guys with this (2 racks), and I'm not worried about any slipping around or falling over.

Great, as long as have the right size jars

My main issue is that it is a poor match for small jars and the center caves in for big jars. Still it can take 15 psi with no effect. It is a champ and it is rust free which is why I bought it. If you do a lot of small jars though, this is not for you. Approved for Mycology purposes.

Sturdy water bath canning rack

Love the way this canning rack fits in the bottom of my 21 quart stock pot for easy water bath canning. It holds the bottles sturdy during the boiling process. Thank you for a great product.

PERFECT for a 20 qt. stockpot!

I bought this rack to fit into a 20 qt. glass-lidded stockpot from Walmart. Whereas the 21.5 qt. canning racks are too wide to fit that size of stockpot, this one fits perfectly! It is indeed 11 3/8” wide. This rack fits 7 pts or 4 qts (or a combination of both), and it does fit the square-ish sides large mouth qt jars. The rack is thick and sturdy. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a canning rack for a 20 qt stockpot! So pleased with my purchase.

Works great!

I like the way the rack keeps my jars stable and from touching during the water bath process and it is a lot easier to set the jars on it compared to the wire racks.

Check the Size

I bought this to use in my smaller canning pot. Unfortunately it is too big. Frustrating as it said it fits 7 pints and since my pot fits 7 pints I assumed it would fit. If you also have the usual ‘starter’ canning pot frequently sold, know this rack won’t fit. It does fit my large pot but is a bit small for max use.
