Didn't get this to work for me to reduce my 12v to 5v to power up an amplified antenna. May have been my error in wiring but some instructions would have been nice.

Very stable out put voltage of 5.12.

Very stable voltage at 5.12 from the 12-volt sores. I am using this to power a weBoost Home 4G at an off-grade cabin in mountains of Maine.

Excellent device - steady 5V output with varying input/load

This is a great unit if you need steady 5V input in a vehicle, I have used some other build your own type circuits and the voltage would always vary slightly based on the input voltage. This unit is steady as a rock, measured at varying automotive voltages 12.5V, 11.8V, 14.4V, & 13.5V, this unit read 5.01V across all these voltages and when applying a 2Amp-3Amp varying load the voltage did not change at all. Ran a Continuous test while driving vehicle with battery voltage varying between 13.3-14.4 and load approx 2A, only varied from 5.01V to 5.00V during this run. A 0.01V variation could be from my test meter alone. Excellent unit will definitely use again if needed!

not 67mm like shown on the picture

Hi everyone! I ordered this unit to power up my Raspberry Pi + auxiliary devices. Didn't make the full test yet, but I do not expect any issues. What I've noticed: 1. The size is 64mm by 58mm,not 67mm like shown on the picture. 2. The holes spacing is 2.1", diameter is 6.5mm. These numbers are not shown on the pictures. 3. The output voltage ripple is 50mVpp (no load). I'll update my feedback when complete the full test. MJ

Warning

Based on other reviews of not working I tested mine upon delivery. It sparked and smoked instantly. I have requested a replacement. TBD whether another one will be any better....

Worked with Raspberry Pi 3 B+

Tried several other brands which failed to run Raspberry Pi 3 B+. I have two of these now and they both run the RPi fine even using a RPi camera module and external USB disk drive. I like DROK because of this product and others of theirs which I have bought that worked as advertised. Buy DROK.

Do Not Last Very Long

I'm using these to power a log string of high power LEDs (in the garden), broken into lengths of 240 LEDs per converter. My calculations show an expected power draw of 3.6 A, but could go to 5A (or higher if the LEDs are driven all on max - which is not anticipated). There are 7 of these being fed by a 24V line. Initially all worked well. The lights come in in the evening, and stay in for about 5 hours, cycling slowly through different colours. My monitoring system shows 4-5 A consumption on the 24V line, so theoretically less than 5A per module (at 5V). After a couple of months, one module died. Ok, stuff happens, I replaced it with a spare. A month later another failed. Humm. Replaced it, but ordered 10A modules, as I suspected something was up. A month later one of the replacement modules failed, followed by another. I replaced them with 10A modules. Today (8 months after install) another module failed, and was replaced with a 10A module. I anticipate eventually replacing all the original 5A modules with 10A ones eventually. If you run these at high load (5A) for more than a few hours a day, they do not last very long (few months).

Works but charges slowly

I have this installed in a camper stepping down the 12V power. I was hoping to be able to charge devices if not rapidly then at standard speeds given this is 5A (for 25W) but I actually got "charging slowly" rates, which is very unfortunate. This device doesn't put out much power at all.

works good with no problems.

I have purchased several of these converters (of different volts/amps) from this manufacturer and never had a problem with any of them. Plain and simple they work just like there're supposed to. They do not get very hot and that help with the lifespan. If you are looking for a converter this is the best/most reliable brand in my opinion.

Regulates at 5v perfectly

Vehicle engine module 5v output failed. Spliced this right into the wire at the computer and it works perfectly. Saved my customer a whole bunch of money and got to be creative at the same time :-)

Excellent convertisseur!

Fonctionne bien, silencieux, et ne chauffe que très peu. Le taux d'efficacité de >95% signifie qu'il y a très peu de perte. C'est pratique quand la source est une batterie de 12 Volts.
