Gateway to youth sports!

These balls are amazing, they have been used in hundreds of hours of dodgeball. Amazing for long Midwest winters when you are stuck indoors and your kids are driving you crazy. They can throw these at each other for hours and no one gets hurt. Your walls don’t get beat up and they make very little noise. But, beware, theses balls are the gateway to youth sports. If you give your kid a ball they will fall in love with sports. If they fall in love with sports they will ask to play youth sports. If you let them play youth sports your dream of sleeping in on weekends when the kids get a little older will be put on hold for a solid decade. On another note buy the book, “If you give a cat a cupcake.” Also, youth sports families are wicked fun so buy the balls, prepare for youth sports and nap when you can, totally worth it! You won’t regret buying these!

Not as pictured

These balls are ok. I’ve used other similar balls and these are probably my least favorite. They’re still ok, but I do have a couple issues with them. First, these balls are a little harder than the other ones I’ve used. I bought them for a youth group and I’m worried that these may sting a bit more than the ones that we’ve used before. Not as much give as some of the other ones out there. However, I probably would have still given them 3 or 4 stars. It’s the second issue that really bugs me the most. The balls that were sent are not as pictured. This is a pet peeve of mine. Sellers: it is not that hard to make sure the product you’re selling actually matches the pictures you’re displaying. If you update your product, update your pictures! Failure to do so is lazy, bad business, and false advertising. This may not be as big of a deal to others but like I said, this is a hot spot to me. First off, the description says 8” balls. The sticker on the balls specifically says 8.25”. These are not 8.25”. These are 8”. So don’t put 8.25” on the ball. This is an issue because the official rules of dodgeball state that the ball must be 8.25”. These balls are slightly smaller. Even more annoying however is the complete logo change. The pictures show a nice logo that looks as if it is possibly screen printed on the ball. However the balls that actually get shipped have a super cheesy, cheap paper sticker that looks like an old ‘80’s “iron on” artwork. I attached a picture. It looks terrible and feels even worse. It is literally paper that seems as if it would peel off working the first 5 minutes of play. If you don’t care about a paper sticker logo, then by all means, buy these balls. But until the vendor actually updates their product photos to show the product they’re actually selling, I can’t recommend them.

Dodge balls of Glory.

Do you like throwing Balls at people? I know I do and these are the best balls you can throw at someone. First of all they are made in Sweden and they make really good pancakes, just ask that chef puppet from the muppets. The best thing about these suckers is that you can hit someone in the face. Sure it doesn't feel great but it doesn't sting that bad, especially compared to your "classic dodgeball". I throw these dodge balls at middle schoolers all the time and they hardly ever cry unless I happen to hit them point blank in the face with all my might (on accident of course.) You really can't go wrong with these guys unless you chew on them with your teeth, if you do that they won't last very long. The only reason I give them 4 instead of 5 stars is because they are stinking expensive but keep in mind they weren't made in a sweat shop so you can at least have the peace of mind that someone got paid a decent wage to make these balls of fury.

Dodgeball: How to Make Kids Cry Without Jail Time

I bought these for a church ministry. My friend was a youth pastor and I would help him out during all-nighters. Many games and activities would be on the docket, but one game was always the favorite. What was the game de jour you ask? Dodgeball. Dodgeball provides that sacred time whereby the kids try to show you who is boss. Sure, you feign a lack of athletic ability...at first. Once you elevate their egos and the associated pride, then you turn on the Billy Madison switch. Remember last month when little Johnny was acting up all morning and he would not listen to reason? Boom! Head shot. That time when Sarah kept back-talking...Pow! Small of the back. When Daniel LaRusso beat you in the local Karate tournament? Sweep the leg! The Rhino Skins allow you to assert your dominance over the lesser people known as youths. When these dodgeballs hit the target, they will hurt a person's pride, but they will not leave a bruise (well, maybe psychologically).

GREAT! Gift for a 9 year old

I purchased these on the request of my 9 year old son, of whom used them at a summer camp. Well starting Christmas morning and practically non-stop ever since there are dodgeballs flying around the house. The way these balls are constructed makes a direct blow to the face or body relatively painless (still a minor sting) yet one can throw them with good velocity. These are the perfect size (I beleive 7") for little and adult hands. Just a ton of fun. I'd rate the dodgeballs a 5 out of 5 if the 'rhino skin' was just a little more puncture resistant. Our dog, she of very large and sharp teeth, has gotten a hold of the balls and punctured the outer skin fairly easily. With that, I've been able to nicely seal up the cuts with some super glue and they're back to normal.

100% what expected

They are exactly what I expected and wanted. Strong and soft enough that when thrown with maximum force they can hurt a bit but wont truly injure anyone.

Great balls for toddler play.

Really nice, bright colors. Kids love the balls. I like that they are gentler on the house when they hit furniture or walls or each other. Good for in the bouncy castle or practicing kicking/throwing in the house. Great for toddlers. These balls are rubber core, then foam coated with rhino skin. They are easy to grip. They are a low bounce ball. Delivery was prompt and packaging secure and professional. Balls were all in good shape on artival. My only complaint is that shipping was more expensive for the multicolored balls than single color set.

These are fantastic as they are small and light enough for all ...

We own a Trampoline Park with a Dodge Ball Court. After 2 incidents with heavy foam balls, we searched online to find a replacement. These are fantastic as they are small and light enough for all ages to hold and throw without hurting other players, and heavy enough to travel the distance of the court area. Great product!
