Critters Smash Up

It’s the basic fill up bases with attack score game with some cool innovations that don’t require a ton of bookkeeping. Fires Smash Up for me.

great two player game

fun: 8/10 speed: 9/10, each game takes 10-30 min replayability: 9/10, we have played for hours and aren’t bored yet player interaction: 5/10, the game is mostly about solo decisions, no interaction needed during each round quality: 4/10, the cards started to fall apart after a few hours of playtime (i have since put them in card protectors)

Almost a $1 Per Card!

The media could not be loaded. The game comes in a really solid box, that is unfortunately 80% air. The game is played using just 23 cards; 20 normal sized, and three larger ones. There are some tokens that are included, but instead of a currency, they're just a point tracker; one that is often left in the box in favor of a post-it note & pen. And to be clear, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the game itself. Micro games can be incredibly fun and this one certainly is fun... But the box makes you feel so lied to! If you just included the three theater cards with the rest of the lot, downsized the manual, and nixed the tokens... Well, you'd have a nicely sized wallet game. Because that's what this is... A wallet game, disguised (both in price and in size) as something greater.

Gran re-theme!

El juego es sumamente divertido y da un gran espacio para crear estrategias con lo que tienes. Saber cuándo atacar. Saber cuándo retirarte. Ambas cosas son cruciales en esta batalla de ingenio. En lo personal, el arte original (de corte más realista) me mantenía lejos de este juego, así que el re-theme me vino perfecto. En resumen, sumamente recomendado, una gran guerra en 20 minutos o menos.
