Excellent pump, needed a smaller cone size

Loved the 2 modes and how easy it is to operate But it's too bad the cones are only 25 or 28 and if you need the smaller size you need to order it separately. It's very powerful, I use level 8 out of 12. Very quite (I had an older Ameda pump) and works great on batteries if you need to travel

Little disappointing

I used to have the old Ameda Mya Joy, where is cake with a battery pack inside it, to where you could just plug it in and it would recharge. That is now the down fall with this upgrade, yes it’s portable but those 4 AA batteries only last 24 hours. So it’s gonna get expensive to be portable. My older model started to turn itself off, and I was very hopeful this model would be just had awesome as that one. Not really the case.

Amazing Pump---Love the portability and ease of use!

The first thing that I noticed when I opened the package for this pump was the compact size of it. I had an Ameda pump for my first two pregnancies (got the pump 7 years ago) and I loved everything about it except for the larger size of the motor part. I couldn't easily move around while pumping, and this made it difficult to take care of two young children at the same time. However, the MYA Joy pump has a handheld unit that can be powered by batteries and clipped right to my waist! I love it! I also really like that it has a digital screen on the front (my original pump had a dial to turn). This makes it a lot easier to customize the suction and makes it very user friendly. I also appreciate that Ameda includes a full set of extra parts for the pieces that need replaced over the course of the first few months (to keep everything sanitary). This takes the stress away of worrying about ordering extra parts in the beginning. Overall, I have had great experiences with Ameda pumps and I am eager to use this one. Ameda pumps are reliable, last a long time, have great suction, and work very well. I would highly suggest the MYA Joy pump to any new mom who is in search of a great breast pump.

Great upgrades on this pump!

This pump is so much better than the other Mya pump. I originally bought it because of the great reviews. I am able to get so much more milk and the previous version was just painful. It never held charge either. I got a blister from it. I love that now it doesn’t start off on the power setting it was last in. The stimulation mode could use just a tad more suction power! I love that it’s small. Uses a lot of batteries, but luckily I’ve had a power outlet everywhere I go.

Great portable pump!

If you have ever used a breast pump, you know how difficult it can be to be tied to it and immobile, especially with a new baby nearby. This pump is fantastic for pumping on the go (car) or around your house. The pump has A LOT more power than other portable ones I’ve used. It is super easy to put together and learn to use. Again, much easier than other portable pumps I’ve tried. My favorite feature is that the display screen shows you how long you’ve been pumping! (A pumping mom must have designed that! Soooo helpful!) Oh I forgot to mention it comes with replacement parts!! Such a nice surprise when I opened the box!

Strong but wish the batteries lasted longer

This pump has good suction but always makes me nervous on the go because of battery life. Also it will not warn you when the batteries low or show battery life gauge. It says lo then turns off, which can be stressful if you are mid pump. I really wish it had a gauge on how much time left to batteries. I would say I get about 8-12 pumps before batteries die.

Great pump!

This is my new favorite pump. I love that it has a light up screen with a timer. It’s so small too. My first Ameda pump is so much bigger but this one is the perfect size for when I need to leave the house. I love the automatic switch over from letdown mode to expression mode too. Only thing I wish would be different is that you could change the speed of the pump. Letdown takes me longer on this pump than my other pump.

Worse compared to the same, older pump

My friend had this pump. I used hers for two months without any problems. In fact, I loved it so much, I bought the same pump when she went back to work and needed hers back. The one I purchased works, but I have had two issues which I did not experience with her pump: 1. Battery life problems: I changed the batteries only once on her unit over the course of two months. With the same amount of usage, I have already had to replace my unit’s batteries twice in less than a month. 2. Diaphragm issue: I never had any issue with my friend’s unit and parts. (Since it is a closed system, we have our own flanges) However, the diaphragm in this unit keeps getting stuck even when I ensure the flange and diaphragm are completely dry. It has done that since day one. I have to unhook it and rebook it up about 2-3 times per pumping session. Ultimately, I know this pump has great suction when it works properly and can be easy to use, but it is frustrating that there is so much variation between units.

Muy buena calidad.

Primero que nada, llegó el paquete antes del tiempo previsto, en excelentes condiciones. Cuenta con todo lo que viene en la descripción y en las imagenes que subí incluso viene una bolsa con muestras de protectores de lactancia y un sobresito de crema lanolina. El instructivo tiene la opción del idioma español. Vienen repuestos. Actualmente no lo he usado porque no nace mi bebe pero en cuanto a material, empaque, calidad y envío sí lo recomiendo.

Buena para precio

Trabaja bien para el precio en el que lo compre. Aunque no lo use mucho y me duró unos 6 meses solamente, después se descompuso y dejo de succionar. 7/10
