Nice light weight brace

This brace is nice & very light weight for a woman who can maybe even wear sandals again! Yeppie !! I wear a 9 ish size womans wide & ordered the large....will have to trim off some of the sole part...need very sharp scissors for this job but do-able.....the top velcro strap does not have the buckle on the opposite lateral side to weave thru which I'm sure if you have a history of wearing braces know about...Those that have that buckle helps keep the strap in place....However a trip to your local old fashion Shoe Maker shop can probably help with trimming the sole and putting a buckle on for you.....very light weight & trim and great to be able to wear a more fashionable shoe other than sneakers all the time......fair price.....good luck!

Just like the ones in the hospital orthopedic dept

I have drop foot from a pelvis break decades ago and my foot hangs and I can easily trip over my toes. I was given one of these "off the shelf" AFOs after I was released from the hospital and before I had a custom made light weight AFO made specifically for me. Sometimes I don't feel like wearing the big bulkier custom brace and I prefer to wear this smaller brace. Especially in the summer when it's hot. The one the hospital gave me was white and I used it literally until the strap had no more velcro left to stay together. One day I was browsing Amazon and I noticed they also come in black which I didn't even know. With a pair of black dress socks one cannot even see I'm wearing it when I sit down and pant legs rise up to expose my ankle. I've bought a black and white AFO from this seller and they are saved and favorited in case I need another.

More cost effective than a custom AFO

For only $40, compared to several hundred $$ for having a customer AFO made, I feel this online AFO has been a very good investment for me. It is not perfect. You do need to wear socks to prevent strap burn on your calf, and you need to fasten the velcro strap really tight to get the best results. But I have been glad I notice such good results to control my foot drop, and for a more affordable price than custom braces.

Perfect for ms drop foot

I was skeptical because MS of the drop foot afos that were like what they gave me at the med clinic where $300.00 pulse but I tried this one and love it. Gait is better than with carbine fiber ones and driving is a lot better i can feel peddles. Strap falls down but I took the band and Velcro stickers off one of my cracked afos and stays up. Love it with easy mods.

Useful AFO

Works well but difficult for one person to install. My heal catches the bottom of the upper opening making it difficult to install bu myself. Need assistance to pull AFO back to let heal pass.

Broken within about a weeks use

I did what it was supposed to do but broke in little over week of me using it.

Out of sight comfort

Works ok and fits under your pant legs nicely, keeping itself private. Strap loosens a bit after wearing a while, but other than that ok for drop foot. Feels safe to wear on stairs.
