Very Warm!

There's isn't much extra room in the waist & the back pockets are kind of shallow. But I didn't buy them for the pockets. Don't need a belt or thermals. Good purchase!

Material used is not as 'tough' as the standard Wrangler jeans - it tears.

(Note: photos are from my other pair of insulated Wrangler jeans, but the problem is identical with this particular Thinsulate insulated pair too) Because these insulated pants are extra heavy (especially when you add a wallet, a phone, and handful of keys, gravity wants to overcome a simple cinched up belt. SO, ... me and many others wear pants like this with a pair of suspenders gripping along the waistline. Normally suspenders are not a problem with the standard Wrangler jean - they take the abuse the 'toothed' grippers put out. The standard jean is a single layer of tough, fine woven denim material. But not with these jeans: the material around the waist is a double layer, loosely woven, very soft denim fabric, . . . and the suspender prongs 'eat' right through this soft fabric and cause ever widening holes. rips, or tears. I've had this happen on another Wrangler style of insulated jean - same problem. I suppose one could toughen the needed areas around the belt-line with some aggressive machine stitching - that should take the "soft" tearable characteristic out of it.

Fit As Expected?

Not sure what "fit as expected " means. My waist measures 34". I'm 6' tall 152 lbs. I ordered a 32"W x 32"L. They are a bit long , as expected, but the waist fits fine. I wear a 32" W in a 501 pre shrunk Levi and a 31"W Uniclo jean. These pants actually measure 34"W (button buttoned, measured across the the inside x 2). So if you expect them to fit like other pants you own, yes they fit as expected. If you expect a 32"W to measure 32", then no. As to the lining color on the brown pants it's black. These are heavy duty pants. The fabric is a light weight canvas. They are a bit baggy as expected. They don't stretch. Not washed yet but as the lining has to match the outside when it comes to shrinking, I expect almost zero shrinkage.

Awesome winter pants

I have worn flannel lined jeans before, just not Wrangler. These were a great buy. Fit me well- I wear a 34x34 and, though flannel lined, these fit just like regular jeans. I like them for the cold Michigan winters. I don’t require long underwear as long as I wear these jeans. I relate it yo car seat warmers: I didn’t understand why until I had a vehicle with seat warmer, now won’t ever own a car without that. Once you wear these jeans in winter, you won’t want to wear anything else. I walk my 11 1/2 year old dog twice a day for at least an hour per walk. They keep me comfortable for those times outside. Wind, cold, and snow do not bother me when wearing these. I highly recommend these jeans. They jeans (denim) themselves feel strong and durable. You will be a tad heavier when wearing these pants, but for warmth, it’s worth it. I will be buying another pair for when these are dirty. I love these jeans and their fit.

Love these

If you’re working out in the cold a pair of these with a base layer will get you through a long day of work. I recommend these to anybody who’s working outdoors in cold weather.

38 x 32

Any other Wrangell pants 38 x 34 and 38 X 32 fit and are baggy, but these. We were laughing. They didn't fit across his crotch or wait. He needed 5 more inches to close them. He said what the hell, are these 32 waist. Then he said I must diet and we sent them back. The other color in the same size fit perfect and are his go to jeans. He loves them. These are a beautiful color and appear made well. I suggest your waist, order 4 sizes up.

Best Insulated Jeans Ever!

I'm 5'8" tall, 34 waist and 30" inside leg. Fits perfect. So perfect that I bought a second pair! The colour is good the denim feels great and what the advert didn't say was that the lining is 3M Thinsulate. Out on even the coldest days I remain oh so comfortable.

Not as huge as other reviewers have said

I ordered a size 38 based on what other reviewers said about the size of this pants, and my husband is normally a 34 and tucks some layers of clothing into his lined pants when he works outside. Well, they are quite a bit too large. He can make them work with a belt well-cinched, but I wish I had ordered a 36 instead! The quality appears to be fine and he says they are nice and warm.

Would definitely buy again

I ordered a size larger based on previous reviews. My husband is a 32 waist so I ordered a 34. It’s about 2cm to Large in the waist. Technically it should be about 5cm too Large for a two inch size difference. It’s hard to say if the 32’s are made too small because I don’t have them to compare. Nothing that a belt can’t fix. That being said, these pants are extremely warm. My husband was able to wear them with just a wind pant over top. Normally he would have thermal underwear then regular or lined pants then snow pants on top. We had -20 with the windchill that day. They did not shrink much, if at all even with warm water wash and low/med dryer. Not sure what the tag recommends because we wanted to shrink a bit. If you work outside these are definitely worth the money.
