Amazon asks you to review the dumbest things. This is one of them. If know what this is and what it does, then the bottom line is, it works like it's supposed to. Big thanks to PG&E this year. My generator went from working 5 to 10 days a year, to around 30. So what does this product have to do with that? Well the longer the powers off, the more high wattage things around the house you need to run. Things like the refrigerator, the freezer, the washer and in cold months, the pellet stove. Also it's nice to be able to use the coffeemaker and microwave. Are you scratching your head yet? Can't you run all these things without this pigtail? Well it depends. Most new generators come with GFI plugs. Those are the ones you find in bathrooms and around areas with water. Most GFI outlets are only good for 15 amps. Even if it's not a GFI plug, at best the outlet only rated at 20 amps. This pigtail lets you plug into the 4 prong twist lock 240 outlet ( if your generator has one) and split it into two 25 amp 120 volt plugs. Now if you made it this far, you are probably asking," why do I need to do this"? Well two 15 amp plugs give us 30 amps in a perfect world. That's 3600 watts. So if you generator is 3000 watt or less, probably don't need this. This pigtail will let you run up to 6000 watts (3000 each) off the pigtail. So you can see how this product can be used to get the most out of your generator. One last thing that shouldn't need to be said, but does. If you're going to buy this pigtail, please only use it with heavy guage extension cords (12 guage). Not only will it lessen the chances of fire. Your generator won't have to work as hard. That should help it last longer.

Heavy duty reliable cord

Sometimes the description does not convey the actual quality of the product. Despite all the negativity about Made in China products, the truth is Chinese products are well made. This product is very well made and its value is excellent compared to similar products. The cable also has an light indicator that shows when it is electrically live. It was a good find and I recommend it.

The Wen adaptor helps the generator and the camping unit.

We went camping at a spot with no electricity. We needed our Wen generator so we didn't run our battery down and for heat at night. The plug in adaptor ran the camper electrical just fine. The value of the adaptor was well worth the money. Thanks.

Good quality

I haven't used it yet but this is a substantially made piece of kit. It looks like it will last forever. I bought it because an ordinary cable, plugged into a GFI on a generator will keep tripping because a modern fridge "Leaks" electrical current ( Or so the manufacturer told me) . So I needed to use the 4 pin socket and run cables from there using this lead. Of course, I haven't had any power cuts since I bought it - so it has magical qualities as well! Buy it!

Excellent produit

Câble très pratique pour permettre d’utiliser 2 sorties 120volt à partir d’une sortie NEMA L13-30. Câble 10 gage très robuste. Ma prise NEMA est à l’arrière de la génératrice. Avec une longueur de 1.5 mètre ce câble me permet de ramener les 2 sortie 120v à l’avant de la génératrice, ce qui est très pratique comparé à d’autre type de répartiteur qui ont seulement quelques centimètres de longueur.
