Wrong level for illumination-hits eye level that blinds you

Needs lower wattage light and newer design so that the light illuminates upwards as the light hits so that it blinds the person

Design flaw

I could not assemble this lamp and get it to stay together, the shade cannot fit deeply enough for the gasket to screw onto the threading. I bought two, returned one because repacking the disassembled lamp was daunting, and I think in my efforts to get the shade to stay on I scratched the paint (paint surface is fragile.) I’m going to try to DIY a different shade because the lamp body is attractive and seems sturdy but don’t count on the included shade working with the bulb fitting.

Nice lamp - poor packaging

The lamp is as nice as I expected, but was surprised at the way it was packaged and that it arrived in one piece. The lamp was in a huge box with nothing else - no padding, nothing!

ALL LOOK NO WATTS

Absolutely huge desk lamp puts out very little light. The desk footprint isn't too bad but the hood around the bulb is outrageously huge. Don't get me wrong, I love the look, but functionality takes a back seat depending on your needs. I need a lot of light. This lamp is very cool looking and if it were truly functional then I would happily give it 5 stars but it uses a pathetic 13 watt bulb!

Loved the look and seemingly-rugged feel of this lamp...for 2 months. That's when the on/off knob broke within its (inaccessible) casing, rendering this nothing more than a stylish, oversized paperweight. Overall Score: 2

Would-be great lamp ruined by manufacturing errors

This lamp looks amazing but I ordered 2 and both were faulty. On the first one the screw that tightens the adjustable rod will not tighten all the way, leaving the thread of the screw clearly visible at the tightest position. Furthermore, the shade for some reason cannot be tightly secured, leaving it wobbly. On the second one the screw will tighten all the way and the shade is fine, but the rings that line the adjustable rod immediately came unglued, leaving them sliding around uselessly with glue exposed. I love how they look so I almost exchanged them to try to get two lamps that were made correctly but I noticed the price has spiked significantly since I bought mine. I will be returning mine to find a different option.

not a good product

It is not stable- and connecting the parts together was very hard. It did not thread correctly and when you try to unwind the parts the bottom of the lamp became unhinged.
