Extremely soft metal, deforms if pressure is applied.

The first set of these I received had been shipped in a plastic bag. The box was destroyed and the utensils were bent and misshapen. Two items were missing. The replacement was intact. The finish on these utensils is adequate but the hollow core makes them very soft where the handle meets the service end. I had hoped that getting the stainless steel utensils would allow me to be slightly more aggressive with stuck on food when using my stainless and cast iron pans, but that is not the case. I had better luck with my silicone spatula than with this stainless version. The diversity in the set is excellent and all utensils are very useful if you are delicate in their use. I would not trade them as I cannot find a better set for the price, but some rigidity in the handle would have doubled my satisfaction.
