Little arch support

I like trotters shoes, but this shoe has very little arch support and after walking in them for a number of hours, my back begin to hurt. Tried wearing them several days later and the same thing happened. So I know they are great for just a few hours or not doing a lot of walking

New shoe, heal trim fell off on the first time to wear them.

Last night I wore my new shoe for the first time. The heal trim fell off. The other one was also able to come off as with out much trouble but it has not yet. The heal became scuffed up on the sides when the heal trim fell off. The shoes will have to be returned.

dressy black show

Perfect black dress show for someone over 50 who wants to use with slacks OR a dress. The heel is about 1-1/2 inch high, just enough for this lady to wear and not be limping in pain within an hour. I bought the wide to make sure the toe box would not irritate the bunions (Usually wear a 10.5 M, got this in 10.5 wide). I jsut got a plainer pair of the same style -- this patent one was made in CHina and the toe bos is cut just as I wanted. The newer one (not patent) is made in India. Guess the shoe patterns vary by region or country -- something Trotters should look into. Especially when these still cost $99 !!!

Super, Super comfortable and beautiful, especially for us older ladies.

I am so happy to find the Trotters brand that provides comfort and stylish beauty in one! I have two pairs of this style shoe and am considering buying more! The shoe is so comfortable with the tapered square toe box and full width heel that provides good support. The leather/cloth upper is just georgous with the marriage of a reptile looking fabric that has a bit of a golden sheen and the bronze toe and heel. The strap is adjustable. The foot bed is cushy for the heel and ball of foot. The inside of the shoe is nice and smooth and can be worn with or without stockings. The first day I wore these shoes, they were on my feet for six hours and I could have worn them much longer. No pinching, no rough seems, no tender spots. Thank you Trotters! BTW - I cannot find this style anywhere in the town I live in, and online, Amazon has the best prices and best return policy. Regarding size, I wear between an 8.5 and 9M in all my shoes (8.5 if toes are open), so I purchased these in 9M since the heel strap is adjustable. I am very happy with this purchase - and the other pair I bought in a pewter/snake color.

Good enough to Keep!

Ordered these shoes from the U.S.A. as I have long narrow feet (9.5N) and do not find it easy to find my size in the U.K. - where nearly everything seems be "W" fit! Just over a week from order to receipt - so excellent service from Amazon. Slightly disappointed with the shoes as one had a glue streak across the toe cap (a lot of polishing has improved this quite a lot), and on the other, the leather covering the heel is slightly puckered above the heel pad. However - too much trouble and too expensive to return to the U.S. I like the style of the shoe as it looks dressy without having too high a heel and the patent toe cap is quite stylish. I do find it slightly generous at the instep and may have to use half insoles to fill it in a bit. The Nude colour is slightly darker than I expected. BUT as I have a bunion on my right foot in particular, I do find it very hard to find pretty shoes that will stay on and these do fit the bill. Don't expect to be walking very far in them though!

Good Shoe except for the Elastic

I own this shoe in several colors. I love it because it works well with dressy casual to casual formal, and is my go-to shoe for traveling when I am limited in the number of shoes that I can take with me. The reason I gave it a 4 is because the elastic is terrible. It is so cheap that it stretches out and frays pretty quickly, and it is not always sewn in well, so that the leather separates around the elastic. It seems like the quality of the elastic has even gone down more since I first started buying these shoes. I had the elastic replaced in one pair - the new elastic was great quality, but I don't want to spend an extra $30 per pair to have the elastic changed. So I have tried to do my own repairs, but that's a nuisance. I think it would greatly improve the shoe if there was no elastic.

Anticipation!

I read most of the reviews and was prepared to like my new shoes and so I ordered three pairs. I selected a half size larger than I usually wear. I wanted a shoe that I could walk in comfortably and yet look and feel right in style! The first pair arrived around noon and I anxiously tried them on immediately. They felt like new shoes, a little stiff, but not uncomfortable and so I forgot about them and continued my day. Later that evening as I started to end my day, I realized that I still had on my brand new Trotters. They were so comfortable that I forgot that I was still wearing them. And the next best part was that I had two more colors yet to arrive. A wide choice of colors, quality real leather,comfortable immediately and moderately priced ! What more could I ask for now? Thank you Amazon for such good service and thank you trotters for such good product. A galaxy of stars or at least five.
