Very soft and not too thick. These stay in place unlike others that ride up and squeeze your toes. Plan to buy more.

I have a pair I bought many years ago and they are great. I purchased two new pair and the stitching came undone at the ankle of one sock after one wearing.

Variations in amount of compression between patterned and solid color socks

I have ordered 2 pairs of these socks in the same size in separate purchases. The first pair were solid color and the second pair were the black patterned socks. The solid color socks are quite snug and offer very good compression -- 10-18mmHg. This is what I was looking for. The second pair of patterned socks are somewhat snug and I'm not sure if they are actually giving any compression. So far, I have concluded that this product may be somewhat inconsistent, at least according to whether it is a solid color or a pattern. I think I will probably buy other of the solid color socks, but not the patterned ones. In addition, the patterned socks had a very strong and obnoxious perfume odor when I received them. The odor has not washed out after the first washing. I sincerely hope that it does wash out or I may be forced to discard the socks because the odor is so objectionable. The solid color socks did not have any odor in particular.

Light compression so not too darn strangling your legs tight! Comfortable to wear.

These are probably the lightest compression socks this company carries. I tried another that they offered and almost could not get them on they were so tight and then my legs went numb! These go on foot first then you roll or pull up the leg portion, similar to putting on stockings. They are socks, not stockings, they feel good and don't make you feel like your cutting off circulation. Nice color too. When I get on the plane I take off my shoes, so I put on another pair of thin socks over these just to keep them clean if I take a walk on the plane or to the bathroom. Yes I could put on slippers, but who wants to carry more stuff on a trip? I wear woman's size 10 and bought the Medium. My beaux wears a mens size 10 and bought the Large. Fit perfect, and there is a different colored string across the toes to tell them apart.

Well Done

As I suffered a DVT some years ago, my doctor recommends that I wear compression socks while flying or during extended drives due to all the sitting. I was ready for a new pair and tried these out. The socks are made of a soft comfortable material with a somewhat rigid structure due to the embedded elastic. You can feel the snugness when putting them on, but they're not overly tight like some socks I've used. They stretch nicely when putting them on and are very comfortable throughout a long 12 hour day. Unlike some socks, they do not leave marks on my lower legs and seem to compress equally along the legs. The socks I purchased are size Medium (my shoe size is 8-1/2) and they fit perfectly. The sock length from bottom of heal to top is about 18 inches. This is a little long for me, but when I roll the top down 1-1/2 inches or so I don't even notice the difference. I like these so much that I've since bought two more pair.

Essential for international flights: Passport, credit card, these socks

I bought these socks just over a year ago and have worn them while flying over 110,000 miles. They are the best travel socks I've owned and I just bought a second pair (not because the first pair had worn out, but just to be on the safe side). The socks are well-designed with different degrees of compression at different points. The fit is a little snug and I have to work a bit to get them over my calf, but once on, they stay put--no sagging or falling--and are comfortable to wear even on long international flights. I've had noticeably less swelling and foot pain since wearing this socks which has made me a happy and satisfied customer. I mentioned buying a second pair. The original pair is showing significant wear above and below the heel but there are no holes as some other people have experienced. I only wear these socks when flying so I may be putting less stress on them than others, but I am very impressed with the service life of this product.

Perfect travel socks

I bought these for a trip (Seattle - JFK - Milan). I have thin legs and they weren't tight (or hard to pull up as some reviewers mentions) so I was skeptical they'd work for me but they were amazing. Absolutely no swelling in my legs or feet which made the travel days a lot more comfortable. When we got to Milan, after getting into the city and checking into our hotel we went to see the last supper so I was walking a lot in them as well and they never slipped, they kept their shape throughout. I washed them at the hotel and wore them on the flight home with the same result. My new favorite travel item.

A wonderful product

These socks are great. I'm 6'6" tall and and wear a size 13 shoe. They come up to just below my knee and are not tight on my instep and foot like others I have bought. I orginially bought them to wear on international flights, but they are so comfortable I now wear them daily. They contol the swelling I was having in my calves and ankles and they just feel good and comfortable to wear. I originally purchased 6 pair and I am going back now to buy 3 more in different colors and designs. Great product and excellent service.
