Refreshing Cleanser

This is a great cleanser to use first thing in the morning as the fruity fragrance really wakes you up. It is made by Dr Botanics and has been formulated to give you brighter and fresher looking skin. As well as the gorgeous watermelon and grapefruit extract ingredients, the cleanser also contains Vitamin C to brighten and Caprylic Acid, which is rich in antioxidants, to protect your skin. The cleanser has quite a liquid consistency so the first time I used it I squeezed out far too much but I have since learnt my lesson! It has a nice feel and of course that lovely revitalising fragrance. I like that it isn’t too sudsy (if there is such a word!) so you don’t end up getting it all over your hair and clothes (maybe that’s just the kind of thing that happens to me!) I find I need to use a toner afterwards, which I would anyhow but just for those of you who don’t it’s worth knowing, as I find my skin feels as though it has not been rinsed properly, even when it has. I think it’s because it’s just cleaned my skin a little too well and dried it slightly. It’s not a major problem and obviously it may not be the same if your skin type is different. Overall, I would say this is a very nice, refreshing cleanser. The price is at the high end of what I would pay for it but it is still a very nice product and great for those mornings when you feel and look like an extra from The Walking Dead (again maybe that’s just me!)

Pretty good

I was drawn to this on the basis of the Grapefruit and Watermelon description, thinking it would be zingy and refreshing from the grapefruit and being not sure exactly what to expect from the watermelon but I love eating watermelon and you don’t often see it in skincare products. I was bemused by the outer packaging because it’s marketed as botanicals from nature but they’ve made the logo with the Gr look just like a chemical symbol on the periodic table ! It comes out of the tube as a gel and foamed up nicely on my face in the shower. I was a little disappointed in the scent which was perfectly pleasant but quite subdued where I’d been hoping for a zesty citrus burst of grapefruit. I noticed when I rinsed it off that unlike the squeaky-clean feeling I usually get with gel cleansers, my skin felt softer, as though it had actually left behind a moisturising layer. It didn’t feel greasy or unpleasant, the opposite in fact, it felt nicely hydrated and moisturised which I really wasn’t expecting. I’ll definitely keep using it, my skin looks clear and has a nice glow and although I put a moisturiser in anyway, it seems to have its own moisturising effect also.

Overall great cleanser and brand

I was excited to try this as this brand is often talked about and I see it advertised a lot! I’ve tried their other products before which I have loved. This is perfect for sensitive but oily/combination skin: I have sensitive skin, especially around my eyes, and often can’t use skincare near them, but this one is absolutely fine - no stinging, no redness, no irritation - which is great for removing eye make up. This is fab for removing make up, SPF, daily grime and generally everything from your face, leaving it clean and soft. There don’t appear to be any added nasties and great ingredients for any type of skin! A good, simple cleanser; one I’d say was particularly great for those with sensitive and/or combination and oily skin types. The price is quite high for the product type and size, especially as I am getting through it quickly, but that is to be expected with this brand, so I am sure if you are a fan of this brand already you’ll be willing to pay this price, though I’d say you can get similar for a lower price (I can’t see anything that this offers that is not by other competing cleansers). Overall great though.

A nice gentle scent

This facial cleanser contains a variety of Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), a group of natural ingredients that can exfoliate the uppermost layer of the skin, ultimately helping to leave your skin smoother, brighter, and with a more even tone. Vitamin C helps to brighten dull complexions by aiding in collagen production Caprylic is rich in antioxidants to help protect against premature aging by protecting epidermal cells. A nice smelling facial cleanser. You only need a small amount and it froths up nicely. Made my skin feel nice and smooth and didn't make me break out.

This is an antioxidant-rich cleanser.
