Basic, Sturdy Pet Bowl

The SPOT ceramic cat / dog dish by Ethical Products is a sturdy, 7-inch bowl with a speckled design. This bowl is sized right for a cat or small/medium dog and works for food or water. The design on the outside edge has a seam from the decal or printing. Overall, a basic, sturdy pet bowl that looks nice and is dishwasher safe.

Sturdy, medium size bowl.

The media could not be loaded. It seems like a lot of people don’t realize that animals can have sensitivities to plastic. Cats in particular it will have what looks like acne on their chin from their chin touching plastic bowls. I only use ceramic, glass, steel, or paper bowls for them. This bowl is pretty thick and sturdy. Provided it arrives in one piece, I think you’ll like it. I hope my video is helpful.

Heavy ceramic. Light mint with glitter exterior.

This is a decent looking dog food bowl. Its exterior is a light mint green with glitter and its interior & bottom is an off white. I like how the light color contrasts against our darker floor. Making it easier to see helps me avoid hitting it with my feet. I have been using lightweight stainless steel bowls for our dogs’ water & food because they’ve proven to be durable, lightweight & easy to wash by hand. This ceramic bowl is heavier and I have to be careful not to drop it or hit the faucet by accident when I was this in the sink. Our Metal dog bowls are easier to handle compared to this ceramic container. Although this product can also be repurposed and used in other ways so it’s fine.

Good for cats!

I actually have 2 cats, no dogs, but prefer this dish for their hard food. Traditionally marketed cat bowls are so small. Cats really don’t like eating out of bowls because of the way they obstruct their whiskers. Ideally, I feed my cats off of a plate, but this is a pain because it’s messy. This bowl is perfect because it’s large enough for them to eat comfortably, like a plate, but contains all the food, like a bowl. Only complaint is that there are some imperfections in the finish. Like warping or dripping of the design of some sort. Overall, is a cheap bowl and serves its purpose well!

Thick and heavy ceramic bowl

I have one ceramic bowl from Spot that I like. Their ceramic is always thick, heavy and well made. However, I received this bowl broken. It was shipped in a plastic envelope with zero protection. I was going to give 1 star but the item doesn't deserve it, the shipping department does.

Love the look but a bit on a thinner side

This is really cute and looks exactly as advertised. Best to use for cats and or smaller dog. I would say if you have medium dog it will work BUT this is on a thinner side so may crack if you have a medium dog who eats and moves a lot. I like that this is dishwasher safe but I like to wash them by hands. No cracks, no weird smell when I got it!

Nice bowl but very fragile

This would be a great bowl but is fragile and easily breakable. Mine was chipped upon arrival and Continued to break as I removed it from the box. It is a heavier ceramic and I had high expectations for the durability. Disappointed.

Simple Design & Easy To Clean

Not everyone wants cutesy pet patterns on their dog or cat bowls. I like this particular polka dot design—it’s subtle and can be used in a variety of ways. This dish is deep enough to accommodate either water or food, and the heavy, flat base is stable. Once filled, it doesn’t move around on the floor. Best of all, the bowl is easy to keep clean—we wash ours daily by hand, but it is dishwasher safe too. It’s the perfect size for our Jack Russell, and he has an easy time eating out of it.
