Not the same item as pictured but still an extremely quality pair of auto focus Bushnell binoculars

Great for the theatre as well!

I've taken these out bird watching and other outdoor activities, but they're also a great addition when I go to the theatre and ballet as well. They're bigger than the standard 'opera glasses', but not so big as to be obnoxious or obtrusive on your lap or under your seat during the performance. The wide-angle view means you can see the additional details you're looking for without missing out on any of the other happenings on stage. Finally, the 'PermaFocus Technology' makes them easy to share with others, as you don't have to constantly re-focus them when passing them back and forth. They're a win!

Excellent for the theater

I purchased these as a gift, because I was happy with my Bushnell binoculars purchased 20+ years ago, having the same basic specs: 4x30 mm, permanent focus, prism system, eye relief. These binoculars are excellent for live theater, whether you are 50 or 150 feet from the stage. Far better than "opera glasses". The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the eyelets on the binoculars body are too small, so it's very difficult to thread the nylon strap through them. Also, the two keepers on the strap are too big, so they don't 'keep' at all.

Not having to focus.

I like the fact they’re always in focus and light weight. I had a pair of more expensive binocs, but by the time I focused the subject was already gone. These are exactly what I needed. Would highly recommend.

Easy to use auto focus.

These are a nice size large enough to easily handle and small enough to carry along on your hikes in your boat or car. The auto focus works well good sharp image and no fumbling necessary. Extra nice when your passing them around because they are always in focus and ready to use.

Glad I bought this

Went to Cadillac mountain in Acadia national park this year and brought these with me. Glad I did bcz I was able to pull in those distant light houses that are over a mile away, maybe they're further than that, idk. I could barely see the land they were on with my not so young eyes, but not having to focus makes sighting very quick and easy. For a bird watcher, these would be a great purchase

Solid, clear, practical for its power.

I researched quite a few of these to get just the right one for the job. They are compact, the case fits on a belt, so you can carry it to a rock concert. It survived a mosh pit in the case attached to my belt. Also looks smart at the Theatre watching a Symphony Orchestra. The clarity is awesome; I have more expensive bulkier binoculars with the same size lenses which somehow seem darker. Optics are very good, warm and clear.

Perfect tactical optics

These are great day or night in situations were you need to be able to quickly visually acquire something. I've used these in hunting and for work purposes. While they take up space in a minimalist kit it certainly is worth your while depending on the adventure.
