Perfect Duffel (130L) for Long Trips
I like traveling with a Duffel bags for the diversity/flexibility and space it gives me during longer travel, especially when you travel to a place that doesn't have room for a large suitcase storage (i.e., River Cruises). I own the Patagonia Black Hole (120L) Duffle. The Patagonia duffel is made well. However, the challenge I have with it (and the same problem with the North Face Base Camp duffel) is the "shoulder straps" for carrying on the back. Both Patagonia and North Face have a complex tie/buckle system that is NOT easy to remove and store, especially when your at the airport checking or picking up bag. the Thule Chasm fixing this big problem with a very easy and incredible simple clip. It takes a few seconds vs. the Patagonia/North Face that is frustrating and difficult to manage. The Thule duffel also has the largest opening to easy access clothes/gear. The material is as tough as North Face's duffel. Thule also added other tech like snaps to hold bag the handles when you carry bag on your back or a convenient pocket on the outside that enables you to store a copy of your travel documents. It's by far the best duffel I've used. Highly recommend you look at Thule over the others. AND if you need a larger duffel it's one of the largest at 130L. Patagonia only sells one 100L. North Face has one that's 130L and one 150L.

Most wonderful duffel‼️‼️‼️
I am a duffel bag person. I prefer the easement of packing a duffel beat over regular suitcases. Only problem with that is I run through them too easily. That is until I met this bag! The quality of the material is extraordinaire. The space is FOREVER! I was skeptical about the way the straps worked…. HA! Skepticism vanquished! The strap process is super strong and comfortable. I am a believer. That was the good…. Now for my one and only complaint….. I just took a trip to Europe (the reason I brought this bag) and everywhere I went I was asked to cart the bag to an overweight drop zone. That’s a lil inconvenience I could do without.????????

Worth the price and sturdy
I bought this to travel to Spain for 12 days because I didn’t want to use my roller given all the stairs and the numerous locations we were going. I was able to fit 12 days of clothes in this bag (using cubes) no problem. It worked like a charm and is very sturdy. We took two Spanish domestic flights (Vueling and Iberia) and it would have fit as a carry one; however, I did put it under and it handled the abuse well. I would highly recommend this bag.

Rugged nice bag
This is a quality bag. I like that it can be used as a backpack or duffle, and it is the PERFECT size for a gym bag for me. It fits everything I need (outfit for the day, including shoes), toiletries and a towel for showering at the gym, as well as my makeup bag. It slides nicely into the lockers at my gym, and the color is nice too! Highly recommend!!

More than you expect
I bought this for carry on so that my hands can be free in the airport. I have dedicated hiking bags but I thought this would be less gadgety and pocket loaded, and good for International travel that's not adventure oriented, yet could be in a pinch. It's also waterproof, which is meaningless until it isn't and you realize it's critical. I tested it today grocery shopping/walking. Ended up loaded with 28 pounds & walked 6 miles. Popped in quarts of soup, bags of flour, my jackets, plenty of space left...I am a person on the smaller, skinnier side and my preferred max load is 30 lbs. The only place I felt it was my quad's. My neck & back were fine. I was really surprised by how well the weight distributes in the bag & how it could stand up when I took the photo. I also appreciated that the opening lays against your back and the base is what's exposed, so that the bag is secure while you're carrying it and keeps you clean from whenever you may have set the bag onto when loading or rummaging. I was also able to snap on a grocery bag for my delicate greens in a manner so that it didn't swing back-and-forth as I walked. That's also important to me, no carabiner needed. I'm a decades experienced hiker. There is no air flow between your back and the pack, but that can be a plus in rainy, cool weather. And remember there's no chest or belly bands, and the base is not padded...but I really don't expect nor want these features in a duffle converter bag because it just adds weight, and I also bought this bag because it is not heavy or bulky. Loading it with clothes and carrying it on will be a breeze. This is my 1st Thule product and I'm sold.

Seemed a bit complicated
Unfortunately had to return the product but not because it’s not a good bag. But because I couldnt use it for organizing. it was truly a duffle bag where clothes can get wrinkled. If you are in need of a nice quality DUFFLE bag. Then this would definitely be for you. On that note. I couldn’t understand the strap system and moving straps around to create a backpack. The idea was great. But seemed a bit complicated to go from duffle bag to backpack.

We bought this for a sailing trip. Good capacity and easy to fold and store in the storage bag it comes with. We have used it for multiple trips and it still looks as good as new. Quality product.

It everything you'd expect from Thule
Having had a Thule roof top box then I knew I'd get the same quality product with the duffle bag/back pack. It roomy, got three internal separate pockets & can be carried like a rucksack when it's full & heavy. The rucksack straps are detachable if using as a carrying bag. It's weather proof, it's Swedish cool. What's there not to like or disapprove of? Quality product at a reasonable price. You can get cheaper duffel bag back packs but you get what you pay for

We took this trekking.It had space for 6 weeks trek gear for 2 people and at under 30kg with shoulder straps could be carried by our porter.
