Saved by a shirt

Listen up, folks! I recently went snorkeling in Hawaii and let me tell you, I was saved by the long sleeve swim shirt. As a big white man, I'm prone to sunburns that would make a lobster jealous. But thanks to this shirt, I was able to avoid the dreaded sunburn and the even more dreaded cranky husband syndrome. Not only did the swim shirt protect me from the sun's harmful rays, but it also made me look like a total stud. I mean, who doesn't love a man in a long sleeve swim shirt? I felt like a superhero, ready to take on any sunburn that came my way. And let me tell you, my wife was thrilled. She didn't have to deal with a grumpy, sunburned husband for the rest of the trip. Instead, she got to enjoy the company of a happy, well-protected man who was ready to take on the world (or at least the ocean). So if you're a big white man like me, do yourself a favor and get the shirt. It's the ultimate sun protection and style combo. Trust me, your wife will thank you.

Very effective shirt for swimming & sun protection

For years, and especially as I've gotten older, I have struggled to protect my skin while swimming laps outside during the summer. I found that all types of sunscreen, including the gooey creams, wash off after 15 or 20 minutes (at the most), plus requiring a partner to slather it on. And the use of tight shirts, like tight workout shirts, works poorly since they become very saggy when full of water. This shirt provided extremely effective sun protection -- particularly for my back, shoulders & arms -- which could then be supplemented by those gooey creams on my neck, hands & face. The shirt is not perfect … nor did I expect it to be. It definitely slowed down my lap swimming because it generates more friction in the water than plain old skin. If it was tighter it would generate less drag, but then it would be virtually impossible to get on & off. As it was, it was sometimes a slight struggle to get it on, but always easy to take off when saturated with water. Good purchase, I will definitely consider it when this one wears out.
