They nip your hand.

Well made, do the job but, and a major but, these secateurs can badly nip the base of your index finger in use. The metal guards around the spring cause this issue. I have bigger hands but they caused same problem with my wife's smaller hands. Strongly suggest you use thick gardening gloves if using them or bug bigger secateurs.

Great for smaller hands

I’ve had these in several colours and use them every day. They are long-lasting and reasonably priced, but especially good if you have a small adult hand.

Poor

I bought a pair of green Spear and Jackson secateurs a while ago and they are excellent. I saw these on offer in the lightning deals and thought they were the same, so I ordered hoping to have a spare set, however when they arrived they are smaller and not much good. I can use the larger secateurs single handed by quickly flicking the clip at the bottom against my thigh to unlock/open them, but the smaller ones wont do that. Not only that, the clip on the smaller version constantly flicks closed when using. I got so frustrated with them, that I ended up throwing them away. Personal choice on size, but the quality on this version is poor.
