Good protection, but what if your fingers slip?

Good protection, if you hold it properly. But if your fingers slip towards the pan, there is no protection below the handle. Would be better if this not just protects the handle, but also extended down to keep your fingers off the body of the skillet. Fits the Lodge #L10SK3 (10" inside the bottom of the skillet) well, is loose on the 8" (8SK) skillet so slips horizontally. Made by Lodge, so you know it isn't cheap materials, isn't going to melt at normal cooking temperatures.

Don’t get burned!!

Son in law loves his pans and uses them all time and now he won’t get burned trying to lift it off the stove while cooking. Fits perfectly!

Strange fit

My husband is a genius! We tried to put this lodge handle grip on my new Dutch oven but not a good fit. My husband turned it upside down and voila!! Fits perfectly! This is so weird because the name “LODGE “ is on the bottom of the silicone grip where it fits perfectly…. One would think the name would be on the top and visible. Go figure.

Lodge handle cover

The silicone handle cover makes using skillet easy for someone with problem hands because it doesn't require pot holder which I have difficulty using with deformed hands

Good product

Purchased the Lodge pan grip. It protects your hand from the hot pan. So glad I purchased it. We use it daily. Easy to clean. Seems like good quality. Definitely recommend this product. Yes it's a good gift item too.

comfortable and handy

Fits the 12" round pan perfectly... but it only sort of fits the 10" or the square grill-pan.

A must for lodge pans

Works as described, definitely useful as the lodge pans are quite heavy and get extremely hot. Happy with the purchase. Only complaint is that it falls off easily.

Works good enough

I bought this to pair with the silicon handle I bought for my 12inch lodge cast iron pan. It works good but don't leave on while cooking or it looses effectivenessand heats up. I put it on just before needing to lift the pan and it works just fine. Minus one star because it is a bit loose on the pan and tends to fall off easily.

Very helpful cooking aid

Very useful if you own any of the larger, heavier Lodge cast iron pans. I don't need to use it with my small frying pan or pancake pan but I have a large frying pan that I can only lift with two hands. As all parts of a cast iron pan get hot I find this easier to use than oven gloves when lifting it. It is completely heatproof and doesn't take up much room in my drawer.
