GREAT Well Made Casters! Just Add Fender Washer For Wide Contact Area!
I'm using these casters on a steel stand for a heavy drill press. I like these casters because a 3/8" (hole) x 1 1/2" diameter thick fender washer (or 2 thin ones) fits perfectly at the base of the 3/8" threaded stem and locks in place. Maybe it was designed that way ?? This gives the caster a nice wide base to pull against and prevent side stress on the threaded stem. Notice the reviews of other casters saying the threaded stem broke. The wheels are quiet but not so soft that stuff will stick into them easily. Perfect in my book! The locks work good enough and the wheels swivel great! The ball bearings seem heavy duty too. The base of the 3/8-16 threaded stem has a hex also in case you need to put a plumbing wrench or something on to hold while you tighten. I just held with my hand and it tightened right up with the added lock washers. It's a nice idea though showing the design was well thought out! So I bought the (4)fender washers, (4) regular washers, (4) lock washers, and the (4) 3/8-16 nuts. Put fender washer on the caster and insert through the hole in whatever. (drill to 3/8" if not big enough) Then put the regular washer, lock washer, and thread the nut on and tighten. DONE! Would be nice if the hardware was included but hey ...... I'm glad I found heavy duty well designed casters instead of the usual Chinese junk !! I think.... no...... I KNOW these will last! Buying the washers and nuts to mount these is a small price to pay for a quality well designed caster that will last! Buy them! You'll be glad you did!

These are great casters. I ordered them to replace smaller caster that were too small for the weight load and tables on which they were placed. The threaded stems on each of the old casters were all bent terribly and no longer of use. The Shepherd 3-inch casters add an estimated 2 inches of rise on the tables, but it shouldn't be a problem for the use. The 150-lb load capacity per wheel might be overkill and contribute to the increased height, but I have no fear that I will need to replace these any time soon. They were also a great price and shipping was very fast, which was also important.

Heavy duty very heavy duty fits perfectly. Smooth motion on the wheel, the lock works well and the bearings are very smooth. I expect it to last a long time

Threaded stems were too large to replace the 3” wheel that bent on my wired wardrobe.
Ordered these as replacements for the one’s that came with my wire wardrobe. One 3” wheel bent when I forced it over a threshhold. Rec’d & the threaded stems were too thick. I didn’t realize the threads were 1/4” on my wardrobe and these were 3/8”. ????

Great wheels, great price!
It was probably overkill to order these wheels for my little handtruck however I won't have to worry about them falling apart. They are solidly built and will probably outlast the dolly. Fine quality at a low cost. I am glad I purchased these because they also have brakes if your not on level ground.
