Prime day miracle

Our fans were older than Father Time and decided to die on us. These fans showed up on prime day for half the price and have not disappointed, they are quite and the instructions were easy.

Great fan.

The fan was exactly as described. Husband had no trouble installing. High speed on the fan is better than any previous fan. Color is beautiful. Perfect fan at a good price.

Appears Heavier Than Labeled, Needed Ceiling Box Rated For 50 Pounds, But Works Very Well

So, what you need to know about this fan is it is quite heavy. They have considerably cut the weight by using a very attractive but lightweight material for the fan-blades, thankfully. They have also cut the weight by using smaller glass shades. However, they could have cut more by using one central light fixture with only one shade instead of three and cutting back on some of the metal. As to the fan itself, on the whole, we found that it was too heavy for our pre-existing ceiling box. The ceiling box, to be clear, has housed a fan which finally broke down recently. It was a twenty pound fan. The ceiling box/mount never had any problems holding up that fan. This fan, upon comparison to the one we just removed, is considerably heavier. Still, when compared to one we purchased and returned last month, it is considerably lighter. It seems to me that this fan is lighter than some but heavier than others and you need to know the weight rating on your ceiling fixture before installation, to be safe, if you have an older ceiling box and an older fan. Basically, your ceiling box may not be up to code as to weight rating. In our ongoing effort to install this, we bought a new box which our handyman installed today and the fan appears to be holding well and functioning. It is very attractive and quiet. I will update if it develops any problems or noises but, again, it appears to be working very well so far. We required a ceiling box rated at fifty pounds, even though the fan is labeled as lighter than that. If you have an old ceiling mount that is rated at twenty-five pounds, you will need to upgrade to a better fitting inside the ceiling before you install this fan. As to quality, again, it appears solid, but I do think they may have gotten the weight wrong in the label on the listing page, by around ten pounds or so. Good luck finding the fan for you. I do think this is a good brand of fan but you must be careful to make sure you have a ceiling box that is weight rated for higher than what is labeled as the weight for this fan. It is heavier than advertised.

Quiet but Powerful and Lightweight, Sturdy, Versatile Ceiling Fan. Easy to install

The media could not be loaded. This Prominence Home Marston Rustic Ceiling Fan is well-made, easy to install and looks great. At 52” with five blades it’s powerful enough for large spaces up to 18x18, though possibly larger. The motor has a good weight but isn’t super heavy. Every piece of this fan is made out of quality material, except the blade’s veneer is easily marked and the “ebony” is a cheap looking solid black. Despite it’s quiet, this thing gets pumping quick and extremely powerful. Blasts of air circulate an unbelievable air flow, keeping the room super cool. My video is to show how quickly this reaches the highest setting and the power of the circulation. The installation is well-designed and thought through. There’s an “L” shaped notch on the piece that connects to the ceiling that you can actually hang the motor on while you’re at it. AMAZING. All of the included hardware worked, we didn’t have to use any of our own. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, but I let the bf do the proper installation. I assembled it in about 30 minutes then he later put it up in an hour. He’s not great with electrical things either, so it couldn’t have been that difficult:). I think I tweaked this fan from rustic farmhouse to “modern vintage.” The original style is cute, but wasn’t flattering to the more contemporary room we had to put it in. I didn’t care much for the texture on the prismatic glass fixtures anyway, so I left those off and used naked led Edison style bulbs and the darker “Northern Ebony” side of the blades. That’s just my own uptight, personal taste though. If something in the room compliments anything on the fan, such as bronze cabinet pulls or even some barnwood pine photo frames, it can really pull it all together. You can change the whole look of the fan just by switching out the glass fixtures or flipping the blades. This is a solid, easy to install ceiling fan at a good value.
