Eats up batteries

The light up feature is barely noticable. The item must be placed as close to the celing as possible in order to see the stars.

Battery life
Battery life isn’t very good. I recommend rechargeable batteries

Bed time made easier
My mother in law got on for my son and it makes bed time easier. Had to get one for my niece so my brother could benefit like we have. We use it every night almost so we put new batteries about once a month.

Love this!
We have a 2 1/2 year old and received the blue hippo as a gift before he was born. He loves this. It is how he's fallen asleep almost every nap and night since he was born. I saw reviews that says the battery didn't last long, but ours lasts at least a month using it twice a day on the 45 minute setting. The options for stories and songs are nice too. There is one option where it is all music which is what we use to fall asleep. I love that this turns on with noise as well. When there are late night wake ups, it helps soothe him. We purchased the polar bear for our new child and it works just as well. I was surprised at how soft the head, tail and legs were compared to the hippo we already had. This is a great product that I see us using for years to come!

A lifesaver
Our baby screamed in the car at night... non stop. We were ready to stop driving at night but then we bought this (in blue) and now she has no issues in the car at night. We recently put it in her room during nap time (which we were also struggling with) and now she drifts off to sleep with ease. It reads stories, sings songs, plays music, and has nature noises. You set the timer for 15, 30, or 45 minutes and it soothes them with noise and projects multicolored stars around the room. The best part, which we just realized with the naps, of baby cries, it turns back on to soothe them. We now use it at night too... truly a lifesaver. I just ordered the pink one to keep in my car, my husband will get the blue one we’ve had, and the bear one will stay in the nursery!
