Favorite shorts
Favorite all activity live in shorts for the summer. I get sad when I have to wear something else

Now on my third pair! Great shorts (but now too long) for running or many other uses! With real pockets!
Update: I just got my third pair, not noticing when I placed the order that they're now much longer, so long that I'll need to have them shortened before I use them for running. I've run thousands of miles in these shorts and I love 'em! There are other shorts made of thinner material and therefore lighter, but these are tough and still quite light. Best of all, they've got two full front pockets and one full back pocket. The front pockets are deep but without a closure, the back pocket is deep and closes with a Velcro tab. When I run a carry a credit card, medical card, and car key, and on long runs, gu, and there's still lots of extra room. If I'm doing something other than running the back pocket holds a full wallet nicely, or a wallet and cell phone a bit awkwardly. These won't be mistaken for dress shorts - if there is such a thing - but they look fine if I go shopping or do something else after a run. These shorts do run large. I wear a 32" waist normally, but in these shorts a small is the correct fit. A medium would be huge on me. The don't have an interior web/lining thing, but that's fine by me. They dry very quickly, they're tough, and I just bought my second pair. The first pair has been washed at least twice a week for the last two plus years, and they're still in great shape. The only sign of age is that the black color isn't quite as black as when they were when new, and perhaps they wrinkle a bit more. The waistband is elastic and about 2" wide, and there's no draw string and not fly. Actually, there's a dummy fly that makes them look more like regular shorts, but there's no opening. I've looked around a lot trying to find a cheaper pair of running shorts that have as much pocket space and which I like as much, but I've never found a good substitute. I highly recommend these!

Great shorts that will last you for years!
This will be my second pair of these shorts - the first I purchased approximately four years ago from my local climbing gym. My first pair I wore every single time I went climbing, lifted weights or ran; heck I even did a Tough Mudder in them. They showed no sign of wear, no rips, stretches, fading, nothing. I wanted to find another pair or two before they went out of production or discontinued the model so I looked to Amazon. The shorts I ordered from Amazon were the same size (large) and model as what I have been enjoying for so many years. They fit well, length is good, pockets are a bit more shallow and the waistband seems a bit looser. I do not fault Amazon for any of this as it's my suspicion Prana simply tweaked the model a bit. I am hoping the waistband will tighten a bit after a few washes but other than that I'm satisfied with this purchase and expect many more years of use out of this pair. Great shorts that will last you for years!

Best Active shorts out there...until the waistband goes
These shorts are lightweight, moisture wicking, and sized appropriately for all kinds of movement. The one downfall is the waistband looses its tension and no longer supports the shorts after a few years time or even less. While they last, they are bomber.

Great for Walking, Not for Yoga
These shorts do not, in my opinion, live up to being usable yoga short. They are very comfortable and I use them for casual wear and walking instead. One issue with these shorts is that they do not flex well in the leg, the fabric is pretty tight. As a result in a warrior pose, or Buddha squat, when you need flexibility, these shorts are restrictive. A second issue is sizing. I wear a large in almost every brand, with these shorts I should have gotten an XL, which is unfortunate. The shorts still fit, but the leg holes were not sufficient for my bulky quads during yoga. Any pose that involved a wide leg stance required me to pull up the shorts a little bit to afford me the extra room. If you have large quads/thick legs, go at least 1 size up. Lastly, and perhaps most frustrating about these shorts is how heavy they get. I go to a hot yoga studio, by the end I look like a half drowned dog (but I do not stink). These shorts hold that water and get very heavy and sticky. I prefer any running short to these. Basically I would never buy these shorts again for yoga purposes. In fact, if I only did yoga, I would return the pair that I have. Luckily they work well for other things, like walking.

Small legs
If you have chicken legs then you’re golden! But if you have legs with any substance to them then this isn’t the pair of shorts for you. I was really hoping they would fit. I even went up two sizes.

I have prana pants that have lasted 6 years in a kitchen so they make great stuff and I can tell these shorts are the same quality well worth the price

Comfy, light, quick to dry and perfect for warm/hotter weather
This pair of shorts has given the light and freedom of movement needed for doing much harder climbs. I don't know how I lived using jeans all this time!
