Works great

Bought it for my turtle at home. He hated it. Took it to work, where we sell turtles, and every single turtle seems to love climbing on it, basking on it and jumping off it. Easy to clean and has held up against weekly bleaching.

My Turtles love this. They won't use the other one in the tank anymore.

Turtles are really messy so cleaning their environment can be a big job. This ramp cleans up easily. It is also not slippery like some others are. My turtles stopped using the other basking platform immediately. They fight over this one so I'll be getting another one. The only complaint I have is that it keeps coming loose. It could use bigger suction cups or maybe a third one.

My boy likes it so I like it. :)

Overall the product is as described. It arrived right on time and super fast. My boy likes it very much... although he keeps trying to eat the grass. LOL My only complaint would be the suction cups don't hold very well. I was able to easily and safely attach a string to insure it doesn't sink under his weight, or float away from his light, should the suction fail again without me noticing. All in all a decent product for the price.

My axolotls love this!!

I can't comment on how well this works for turtles, but this is amazing for my axolotls! They love to swim up and down the ramp, and they come to the top when they get hungry to beg for their nightcrawlers lol I uploaded some pictures of Marceline and Princess Bubble Gum for reference. It's well made, and has suction cups so you can place it wherever you want and it will stay down. Even if the terf comes off, it'd be easy for me to place some custom fake grass or silicone some rocks on there. This is one of the most used decoration by my axolotls and it's well worth the price.

This is a hazard. Read this before you buy!

I have never left a 1 star review for anything. But I feel like it's really important that people are aware of what they're buying when their pet's safety is at risk. And this Penn Plax turtle platform is a hazard as it's sold today. (See pictures - tons of free-floating green fibers clogging the filter, long black strings that unravel in water.) There's next to nothing available when it comes to finding something to use as a ramp to a basking platform that has some grip. That's how I ended up buying this one in the first place, despite reviews warning of their turtles eating the astroturf or the green fibers coming loose and clogging their filters. I tried to be proactive and siliconed the edges, in hopes that would prevent my turtle from doing the same. But the other day, i noticed a huge green clump floating in the tank, and was horrified to realize he had eaten and passed that much of the astroturf. So I wrote the company, explaining what had happened, and asked if it was possible to get just the plexiglass ramp without the astroturf attached. No response at all. I built my basking platform using this ramp specifically. I tried to find another ramp about the same size, but again, there's really nothing else out there for sale. So I had to spend another 25 dollars to order another ramp I'm going to rip apart. 50 dollars total spent on something that ends up being a piece of 17" plexiglass that I cover with something else. Waterproof grip tape, padded kitchen shelf liner, plastic canvas embroidery mat, really anything would be safer than putting this in your tank as-is. My suggestion if you end up buying this, is do yourself (and your turtle!) a big favor and take the turf off and replace it with something else before you ever put it in the tank. It'll feel like a waste of money, yes, but you don't want to risk your turtle getting a blockage that could be potentially fatal if they're unable to pass it. I bought some textured cat tongue clear grip tape, stuck it on a piece of plexiglass, and submerged that in a bowl of water 5 days ago to see how it would hold up. So far it looks like it's still sealed and no water has gone underneath it, so I think I'll give that a try. Honestly at this point I feel like it would have been more cost efficient for me to buy one of those nice custom tanks that comes with the ramp and platform already built in. Not to mention less stressful.

Overall good

The suction cups were not as strong as I wanted them to be. The platform is a little bendy. Tiny pieces of the fake grass falls off leaving bits of it everywhere, which I think can be dangerous if my turtle consumes it. But overall it’s pretty good if you are looking for a cheaper option.

Not worth it

The green plastic grass easily comes off and get sucked into the filter. My turtle also bites at it (which I suspected he would do) But I had hoped it would be more durable. We ended up reversing the grass to be on the bottom to help eliminate my turtle wreaking it.

Risky Platform

This platform provides a climbing ramp to a floating dock but the edges are easily shredded by my turtle. Afraid of the turtle ingesting the green fibrous material and causing death. High Risk I will not continue to use this product

Bastante buena, pero mi tortuga mide 15 cm y ya le quedo corta. Además tuve que poder algo debajo ya que la base no podía soportar su peso.

Very thin platform material

Very disappointed with the platform. Platform was made out of very thin flimsy plexiglass that would bend when very little weight was applied to it. That being said, when my turtle would try to go onto the platform, the platform would flex because of the thin material and the bottom would slide out which then left the platform submerged in the water and leaving the turtle without a dry place to bask. Returned platform to amazon.

Came in broken

Came in a strong box but broken , broke when Amazon put it in the box corner broken and suction cup missing I fix it by drilling a hole beside and added one of my suction cup.
