A nice work watch!
Really nice. It stands up to use and abuse really nicely. Don’t like how thing the plastic screen is, but you get what you pay for. Really comfortable, so much that you forget it’s there. I personally don’t use the dual time option, but I’m sure others do.

A nice, no-frills sports watch
I own a fairly large number of watches... from a very nice all-mechanical self-winding Fossil watch to a couple of databank calculator watches to a Fitbit smart watch to some very basic "beat-up-able" watches to a couple of very robust "sports watches." This one falls into a middle ground between the very nice sports watches and the "beat-up-able" watches. It's a physically tough watch, with all the basic features you'd ask for. I couldn't find any record of this watch on the Armitron website. I'm not sure why that is. But I've worn this for a few days now, and here's my honest appraisal. It's large... larger than the typical watch... but it's perfectly comfortable on my (average adult male) wrist. It's features are just what you'd expect... standard timekeeping, alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer, second-time-zone timekeeping. The center bottom button is a backlight, just like is common with many sports watches. The backlight is different from most I've seen, though. Instead of a full surface backlighting behind the LCD, some (but not all) regions of the LDC itself light up. Most notably, the little indicators which show "alarm," "chime," and "timer" appear to be printed on (and are "blacked out" when activated... odd, but fine I guess!) so that when they're switched on, only then do they (and then, only the little rectangles behind the printed areas) light up. It's an odd design choice, but not a BAD one... just not what I've seen on every other backlit watch I've ever owned. In the dark... especially in a truly dark room... it looks almost like a classic LED display, with only the segments of the numbers being lit up. The watch's band is... fine. A typical rubber-like urethane piece, perfectly comfortable. However, I suspect I'm going to replace that band with a wrap-around military-style velcro band, along these lines... https://www.amazon.com/Nylon-Watch-Band-Closure-Olive/dp/B001588MWY/ref=sr_1_3?crid=36SMZ83HXBAC6&keywords=commando+watch+band&qid=1654547878&sprefix=commando%2Caps%2C95&sr=8-3 ... and this will become my new "going camping" watch. (The limited illumination lighted display mode is especially well-suited for outdoors use, where it won't dazzle your vision like others tend to do, even if briefly.)

Needlessly Busy Display, But Nice
I've been wearing this watch for about a week now, and am overall happy with it. It's comfortable, looks nice, and nice and light. What's frustrating for me is the needlessly fancy display. I love when watches display the month and the day of the week, and this one does both, but in a poor way. All seven days of the week are on the display, with a slash mark over the current day. It takes a second or two to locate the tiny day marker to match them up--needlessly complicated. The month is two numeric characters inside an square overlay. The overlay is black, and the characters are black, making them difficult to read. And if you're looking at the display from the slightest angle (as in not turning your wrist all the way toward you), part of the month digits are blocked. Just unnecessary flourishes that make this watch more difficult than it needs to be to display the information I wear it for. Still, a nice watch. Just could have been a great one.

Yes, waterproof
Being much older, it took me awhile to figure everything out on this watch. Oh my...instruction manual with extra small print! If you are of a younger generation, it will be easier. The good news to report is that I wore it on my vacation and that included a rafting trip. I figured, why not? About an hour after the trip while chatting with friends, I looked at the watch and it was still ticking away. Passed the water test for me!

Nice, basic function it’s, and solid build.
I was looking for a basic watch to use for daily wear, not having to worry about recharging the battery. I came across this watch and decided to give it a go. I had an old Casio like this a LONG time ago that just recently crapped out on mem and so far, this watch has checked every box on my list. Easy to set up, with very little struggle to follow the pattern of the setup. Just a few beeps and presses, and the time, date, and alarms were ready to go. The fit is very comfortable, without that annoying little 2nd loop to secure to strap in, as it already has a built in secure fastening notch on the strap. Design is a very legible, and functional display, with no flashy colors or bells and whistles. Just an old school digital beep sound, and the old school indigo button that illuminates the screen nicely when the lights are off, or its dark outside. I highly recommend this watch for anyone that wants a basic, and simple no frills watch that will last you for a long time.
