I wear 7¼ fitted hats, great fit for that size or larger
I wear 7¼ fitted hats. A 7⅛ head would be a little loose, but probably not uncomfortable. Because of the collapsible band it will fit larger heads also. My side of my head doesn't even touch the straw. The top of my head can touch straw though. I hope this helps your decision.

Got one each for my husband and father-in-law. They both LOVE them. Great quality, and the rim was wider than it seems in the picture which was even more perfect for sun protection. NICE HAT.
