Some of the Best You'll Find

I like to hike. During a normal hiking season, I’ll put 100 to 200 miles on a pair of shoes. For big hikes I use a pair of solid hiking boots. For the small 2 to 5 mile hikes, I prefer to use heavy duty sneakers. My old pair was on it’s last legs, so I picked these up. Even though they are not advertised as hiking shoes, they fit that role perfectly. They offer protection than sneakers, with little to no compromises. COMFORT They are pretty good in this department. They fall in the middle, meaning they are not too soft and not too firm. Support is not an issue with these shoes. FIT For the most part, these fit well. The only odd thing is the heel. I think I have a strange heel, because most of the time, new boots or shoes rub the back of my heel, and I have to take time to break them in. These are the polar opposite of all the other shoes I’ve owned. My foot slips out of the heel a little. It’s not tight at all. I expect for some people, this could prove to be an issue. QUALITY These live up to the KEEN name. It will be VERY difficult to find a better quality shoe. They are solid and well built. PROTECTION They are labeled a work shoe because of the heavy duty toe and the non slip sole. The toe protection is great for hiking. You don’t have to worry about stubbing your toe with these. Keep in mind, if you are buying these for work, these are not a steel toe. They offer minor protection. VALUE You can get work shoes for less, but do you want to? These are quality shoes. This is truly a case of – you get what you pay for. These will prove to be a better value. I am convinced that these will outlast the cheaper options. They are worth the money.

Medium Tough

This is a very decent set of work boots that are really more like heavy-duty sneakers. They do not come up past your ankles, which traditionally is what defines a boot. You can tell that by looking at the picture though, so I don't believe that the manufacturer is trying to deceive anyone with their description. The good aspects of these are many. They wear very comfortably and unlike work boots are fairly easy to get on and off. The outer material is tough and very water resistant. The soft toe is very effective at protecting your feet from sharp objects, even without steel reinforcement. The combination of fabrics allows the shoes to breathe a good amount while still keeping your feet dry and safe against the elements. On the downside, the stitching work on this boot is pretty sketchy, as is the glue work, which is a bit sloppily done in places. Basically, it's a shoe made of good materials and of good design that seems to be assembled in a rather haphazard fashion. I have not had them long enough to tell how much the workmanship will affect their longevity. I'll return to update this review if they start falling apart earlier than they should though.

Very Durable workboots

I have owned several pairs of work boots. These keen work boots are the most comfortable and most durable I have ever owned. First, they are very true to size. They fit me perfectly, as expected. The insole is very soft and comfortable and the sole is very rugged and thick. I love the slip proof sole. I can walk around my shop without worry of the floor being wet. I highly recommend these boots to anyone wanting to by the last pair of work boots they may ever own.
